What the heck was that about today?
Guys, looking at that performance, the team will go 0-11 this year.

So bad. And Richmond is dominating UVA. Richmond is the real deal. I think everyone knew that coming into the season. I wanted to see marked improvement today. It looks like there's been massive degression. I wish Skorsky would stick with a QB.

it looked to me like Christiansen was injured. Like I said on another thread, The entire team, coaches included, owe the OL an apology. They played a very solid game today.

CC hirt his shoulder. That's why the change. I didn't realize that. I was trying to keep up with the game while also chasing around my 3 and 1 year olds! Wish a speedy recovery for CC.

CC IS FINE. SAW HIM @ SMITHFILEDS AFTER THE GAME WITH HIS FAMILY. EGO MAY BE BRUISED BUT HIS SHOULDER IS FINE. NO SLING, NO ICE, NOTHING. NTOHING ON THE SIDELINE AS WELL.
WE DONT HAVE A QB THAT CAN THROW DOWN FIELD AND DID NOT RECRUIT A QB IN THE '16 CLASS. BRILLIANT MOVE!
RUNNING GAME LOOKED GOOD BUT WE GOT AWAY FROM IT. OL PLAYED WELL AND PROVIDED SOLID PROTECTION.
DEFENSE WAS BEYOND AWFUL. NOT LIKE IT WAS A SURPRISE THAT GW's QB WOULD RUN ALL DAY.
MOST DISTURBING PART IS THE LACK OF DISCIPLINE AND LACK OF CONDTIONING. THE TEAM ONCE AGAIN WAS NOT READY TO PLAY. THAT IS ON SKROSKY AND HIS STAFF.

Saw the article and was even more amazed after seeing cc last night. Didn't look hurt pr phased by losing so poorly 45 minutes after the game. If it wa bad enough to come out of the game don't you belive he would have had a sling or ice on it??! X-ray maybe afterwards?? Not eating BBQ. Of course we should believe everything in the media

CC shoulder is hurt. Believe what you want. It's a fact.
Problem is, neither he nor Thompson can hit a receiver, hurt or not. They are both like pitchers that can't throw strikes. And on several occasions when they did hit the target, usually in critical situations, mind you, the receivers couldn't catch. They seem afraid of being hit - taking their eyes off the ball to look at the defenders. If that's the case, it's going to be a LOOOOONG season. Those small skinny defenders for GW pale in comparison to those of Richmond, Towson, UNH and JMU.
Hats off to the OLine, Gentry and Summers. Those boys left it all on the field. Pretty much the same to Joyner - when he was thrown a catchable ball.
The defense stayed completely focused on their assignments. So much so that the guy with the ball would run within 10 inches of our defenders who didn't so much as stick an arm out to slow them down. I've NEVER seen anything like that. That's how their QB got so many yards. I personally don't think he's all that good. he's certainly not blazing fast, nor that great at making people miss, our guys just didn't even try to grab him in many many cases. He is opportunistic though, I'll give him that. OK GW faithful, give me a lot of grief for that last statement, but mark my word, this will bear out over the season. GW may be a .500 team this year but not much more, even in the Big South.
I know our receivers are better than they showed yesterday. The drops came down to watching the ball ALL THE WAY into their hands. That's pretty much it. Unfortunately our QB's are not. However, we can still win with our OL performing the way they did yesterday. It won't be exciting, (except for the winning part). They'll have to do it with the running game and 5-7 yard dink & dunk passes. I think our QB's can be accurate within 7 yards, but not beyond. They aren't good enough to sit in the pocket & go through progressions. They're not accurate enough to throw 10+ yards down field. But, like I said, they can still score TD's & win if they know their limitations and stay within them.
Of course, it's just my opinion. That's what these message boards are for. I look forward to reading yours.

Very Very poor performance by the elon players and coaches today. The offense could not get going and the defense looked AWFUL. The team looked very sluggish and very very de-conditioned. The team is still very undersized. This team has seemed to have gotten worse and worse over the last couple of years and the players and coaches really dont seem to care. Even after the loss yesterday they all seemed to not care after walking up from the field. Very scary. This team will be lucky to win a game this year and the only chance will be against the d2 team. I hate to say this but this should be the last chance season for Skrosky and this staff

Skrosky needs to hire a real OC. Wroblewski is an offensive line coach.

What is wrong with cc's shoulder? It sure as hell is not separated. Stinger maybe that's the worst of it. There is a view that he was being pulled regardless. Not going to win more then 3 games with dink and dunk & a below avg run game. Any fan would take a .500 season after yesterday's disaster. Remember our 6 points came from GWs turnovers giving Elon favorable field position. Also, if you belive all they hype about our team being the best conditioned why did we have so many guys going down with cramps? ? It 80 degrees so much for that 3:30 kick off!!'

Pretty sure Wroblewski just has the OC title. He doesn't actually call the plays Skrosky does.

Correct on Wrobo. I believe that they gave him the OC title to justify paying him following his stint at Rutgers. Skrosky is the play caller and offensive mastermind.
