Chaldwell. He's been trying to move up for years. Turning Elon around is a resume highlight. If he can do it at Chuck South, he can do it here

Kerwin Bell? After he got let go at Jacksonville, just finished his first year at Valdosta State. I'm not sure he'd leave. Although, he should hoey a call. Kerwin Bell......that's an intriguing thought. I can't remember though, was he cleared in that scholarship fiasco? Yeah he was cleared! Knows how to build a program and has the South eastern connections! Innovative offense! Always top in the country!

Collins is past his prime. We need a you guy like Lembo was. We are stepping stone. Hate to say it. Get a young guy who is hungry. He deserves a quality interview

Jim Grobe had the Baylor job and wanted to retire. Probably not going to happen but love the thought. Jim Collins is solid. Never been a head coach nor a coordinator. . Massive leap. Need a head coach this go round.!!! Jim Collins is solid. Never been a head coach nor a coordinator. . Massive leap. I disagree loyal to a fault but has been coordinator several times and also different roles read the dad-gum resume'

Hart, Swepson, Skrosky, Seagraves no more. Hamilton had faults but the cupboard was full and the staff was good. Lembo did well. Elon except for Lembo, Elon has taken the easy way out with coaching searches and lost big. It's time to man up and work on winning. It's time to stop gambling on budget choices. It's time to step up or lose the alumni support. Because if they screw this up again, people will not just stop coming, they'll stop caring.

Whoa, my apologies. I missed that 1980 DC gig at the junior college and his coDC role in1989 at duke. That certainly qualifies him to be our HC. We can do better, much better. Time to raise expecations.

Time to raise expecations. 14 years with Steve Spurrier recruiting and special team coordinator , DC at Marshall and also DC at Duke as late as 3 years ago . He brings a winning mentality. Plus this is his Alma Mater. And probably take a pay cut to come.

Elon can attract a head coach with prior HC experience. If we hire another position coach or coordinator again the dumpster fire will continue to burn. This is the easy and cheap fix. Need experience not an amateur like the last 2. Someone who knows how to run a football program and knows how to win by adapting to their talent. Great analysis! Emphasis on "knows how to win by adapting to their talent" & I will add trust in your experienced players. I believe wholeheartedly that Elon has the player talent. Last year many players were playing out of position "for no apparent reason" as well as many experienced players overlooked to hype recruiting. If a 2 star incoming recruit who maybe on the low end of a lowly FBS school recruiting chart see that Elon freshmen are not only starting but getting more time than experienced players they're prone to signing. Thus kids who know the system and has experience at D1 FCS level are sitting bench while Inexperienced freshmen play each year therefore your program NEVER matures. Countless amount of young players came in and produced less "Statistically" as the experienced kids the year before. No consistent playing time during games and unable to match athletes abilities to play calling or vice versa. So wise Grandpa!

They need to eliminate every last one of the assistants, I said it before they have no clue. I've stated from the beginning this staff was bad, which I've witnessed myself from August. They need to hire a coach who will maximize his players ability and preach toughness. This is a great day for Elon and hopefully they hire the right Coach and staff...There r some ballers on the team, hopefully they will be able to display that with this new staff

I hope We have 100 applicants. Make no mistake I am a close personal friend of Jim Collins and you cannot find a better resume. Age aside you want that experience. As a guy that needs NO orientation to know where Hook Dorm is at Elon. But He has a National Championship Ring and a dozen Conference Championships and bowl trips to boot.He knows ALL the High Schools and their coaches not just Florida but nationally. He will bring a winning attitude and a plan because that's ALL he has done. If We can get someone better, so be it!
