Best chance for Elon staff retention is on the defensive side of the ball. On offense, I can't see Wrobo remaining OC (even though it was in name only), so he's likely gone. If QB play is any indication, Van Zile is gone. Browne might stay with RBs and because he heads up recruiting. WR coach Riebock won't make the cut.
That's my speculation. No insight.

Cris Reisert took over the title of Recruiting Coordinator. He's had it for the last year.
Frankly, if this staff is completely blown out, I'm fine with it. I would say if anyone should be kept its Madden. The DC.

I do not see anyone staying at all. Reisert, TE coach heads up recruiting though. It is kind of sad because the staff is still here, they are the ones putting on the recruiting weekend that starts Friday or Saturday yet they probably wont be on staff in about 2 or 4 weeks. It is not really fair to the recruits or the current coaches to drag them on to help with recruiting if you are not going to even keep them. It is not fair for the athlete to get recruited by a coach who wont even be here in the spring. Not sure I am a fan of this move. If you are not going to keep the staff let them go.

Cignetti was hired only a few days ago. Give him at least a week to consider the current staff. And I forgot Reisert took over recruiting.

Reisert and Browne should be kept for recruiting as well as they are the best 2 position coaches on staff. DC Madden was horrible, in way over his head. Bring back Pinkham, he still has a house in the area. Get a proven OC. Hopefully, Rippy will continue and help develop new kickers.

Any D.C. Is going to look horrible when the offense has double digit 3&Outs every single game. I can't put all of the blame on Madden.

Ron Mattes OL is now at NC A&T He has done well w/ that group. Also Bobby Blick has moved around a bit think He's at Army was at NCSU when Curt Cignetti was there if I do the math right. Not that We would have many recycled through here. Coaches rub next to alot of ways a lot of connections for sure.

Lantz is a good DB coach and they were not a problem this past season and have everyone except one returning. Mattes was a very good OL coach when he was here before and actually turned some chicken sh__ into chicken salad. He could do very well with the group of OL now in the stable. Go get Keith Gaither for WR.

I always respected Mattes. Great OL coach. Reisert seems to be a good guy & will probably stay due to the recruiting. Browne may or may not get to stay. Hard to tell.
As far as keeping the current guys to continue with recruiting being unfair, they're still getting a paycheck! Unfair would be to cut them loose now. At least they can collect pay for the next few weeks.

Did you see what the TEs did this year. And we say how they need to be kept for recruiting but for the last 2 years I read on here how our recruiting hasn't been good. I agree Madden was over his head also gaither isn't going to leave army. Its more leading them them on that they might get kept on but his coach knows they won't.

Look what those two are up against. TEs were not used in the "scheme" employed the last 3 years. They were not thrown to very often. They did do an acceptable job of blocking. Our recruiting was also acceptable for the last two years, but we did not recruit a Dual-threat Quarterback which is needed in this league.

Jerrick Hall has the NCSU Elon Campbell connection. with stops in New Haven & Fordham His experience on defense could be a big plus too.
