I generally agree with you all, this new staff will get things going. Reports are very encouraging. Cignetti is "no nonsense". This is a great change to the last two regimes. The offense per feedback has the team jacked up. A lot of big plays after 4 practices. This will be night and day. Great things to come!!!! That guy is a WINNER.

Talked to a veteran offensive player today that is totally jacked about the new playbook. Sounds like they're truly having fun.

I am all about the excitement for the offense and the year ahead of us but I am not going to get all crazy about some big plays in spring ball practice in shorts and helmets. I am glad to hear things are going well and encouraging. I guess I saw big plays in practice the last 6 years and that so going to control my excitement until week 4 or 5 of the regular season.

I second that and i'm as excited as anyone for a new coaching staff. I just don't like when coaches put in built in excuses. Y would u get a guy to coach a defense, with once again no DC experience and then change the scheme. I hope it works great, but if it doesn't that will b the excuse or im sorry the reasoning for it not working.....

New coach comes in with no DC experience and they love it. I guess time will tell if this was a good move or not.

The new DC comes into our program with #1 top experience with the #1 D in all of FCS plus the new scheme is more conducive to our personnel ex: #330 N/T new recruit and more lateral speed and flexibility in other positions from L/b . Plus #2 He has coached and recruited here previously under Lembo. It's coaching and teaching time, the resume' just does not matter at this point. recruiting is 24/7 365. that tab is in members only. I called about the Spring football practice schedule and there does not appear to be one. At first this concerned me but the more I think about it the staff must think there is more teaching that must be done rather than have a Ra Ra for fans like me! Here are the dates of practices that were shared all taking place in Rhodes stadium! I have read many of the comments both positive and negative. First let me assure you None of us havs a crystal ball and can guess the future. We do know we have a talent gap and play in a very tough conference. We do know when you do not have top dogs you must be creative to have a chance to win. This staff is all in and is going about creating a winning culture and attitude. They are not excuse makers but realist. Hopefully we will see improvements in the effort of the team with a never say die attitude which can over come adversity! I am all in and support the staff 110 percent! To me there is no doubt this group will get the job done! Long live Elon!!
Rhodes stadium dates: Friday April 14 at 6:30 Saturday April 22 at 2:00pm Saturday April 29 at 2:00pm

All you guests, Join the forum. First of all i am all in with the new staff, attitude and direction.... because every staff deserves a chance to prove themselves. In saying that yes he came from a good defensive unit last yr, but we have been recruiting the past three yrs as a 4-3 unit at least. So all i was saying is if u come in not knowing any of these atheletes ( which we know were coached wrongly), y not go to a multiple front or package to get a feel for wat u have. I personally saw a lot of potential in some of the players last yr in the 4-3 scheme. So i think it would b more detrimental to the team ( in my opinion) if u go into the scheme with no alternatives to use ( like a multiple front)...which Cignetti used at the school he just left. The difference between a bad season and a good season can b as simple as adjustments......
