All the resources you would want. Elon Alumni take note. This is what it takes to be at the top of the FCS....Guess we like being OK. oh and the coaches going with him....https://jmusports.com/news/2018/12/17/football-cignetti-announces-initial-coaching-staff-hires.aspx

That’s great and all, but darn, good riddance. JMU, don’t let him compare you to anyone else.....you’re JMU darn it!
Cignetti, thanks for bringing the program back to the top 25, but no thanks for quitting on the team with the garbage quotes in the local paper. HC Trish, Folmar and company....bring a conference title home in 2019. You have the coaching ability, you have the talent and the gents have the drive to do this!

the Elon video and communication department does a much better video production. No contest. JMU is a quality program no doubt. You cannot compare their place to ours. We made a great hire for Us, Dave Blank made the right call. T-Squared knows football and instills this into our players. We are ALL moving on.

At this point I would say NDSU is a combination of the Alabama, Michigan and Clemson of the FCS. I'm tired of thinking about JMU. I'll start thinking about them again on September 22, 2019. Until then, thanks Curt for all you did here. I have confidence our new coaching staff and players can keep the improvement going. Just because Curt left doesn't mean there isn't tremendous quality still here. AD - get behind this program. It's your job to get more funding for coaches and facilities! Winning has a great way of building fan enthusiasm and loyalty. All that starts with funding! Make it happen!!

"There's no doubt in my mind that all of them would come up here and excel. There's an obligation as the head coach to put the best staff together for James Madison. I've added five [position coaches] right off the bat who can make an impact for us in recruiting and left five behind to help [Elon] with their signing day because it's important to me that job was finished correctly. There are still some people on that staff who are under consideration for positions here." Lets hope he was just speaking out his arse on this - what a jerk!

From his radio interview, it was clear he didn't want Triscianni. Triscianni is a 3-3-5 guy who was "recommended" to him. And JMU is a 4-down team. My guess is he wants everyone but those guys.
I may be reading into things, but it seems like Triscianni and Fulmar may be tag teaming this takeover.

I also really didn't like the comments he made about the depth and injuries not happening there.

Quotes from JMU board:
"Also a little PSA, I know that no JMU fan would ever think of doing this, but don't troll Elon fans over the hire."
Already in one post more class from JMU fans than App.
Cignetti quote: "Cignetti also said, "I will not bring my whole Elon staff. I'm going to hire the best staff that I can for JMU."

I think it is time to move on from the "other guy", but I find that there is something very ironic about these events that help me feel good about Elon's Football future. The JMU win this past season was a great win, perhaps one of the proudest Elon sports accomplishments in recent history. I watched that entire game. Our guys played well and deserved to win; however, pretty much everything went wrong for JMU that day. A different ball bounce here or a different call by the officials there and JMU could have easily won that game. Without that win, Elon would not have been in the playoffs and the "other guy" would not have been considered a legitimate candidate for the JMU job. With the way the "other guy" left, I just have a feeling this is going to work out for Elon.

Now, I've said my piece about the issue and I'm moving on. Again, HC Trish and company......bring home the conference title next year! You've got this!

I have to agree (no other option). The "other guy" is now entering a world of much higher expectations - win less than 9 games in the season and they will be looking to fire you. That will be his challenge and burden. Good luck to him except when we play them.
What the last two years have shown me is that good coaching will produce wins - 2017 is great proof of that. We didn't really dominate anyone, yet, with alot of moxie and one or two keys additions, we won 8 games. Sustaining a great program is a lot harder in todays world. That involves getting good players year after year after year. In most cases these coaches ride a great player or two at key positions for a few years then move to greener pastures (See Lembo years and Scott Riddle). The really good teams have great depth at all positions - at least two deep with no real drop off. Look at Eastern Washington - they lost their 1st string QB after a few games to a bad injury. The second string QB stepped right in with no drop-off in their performance.
Go Phoenix!

Better facilities, more money, better fan base, better student section, more pressure, higher expectations.... for all the people who said oh cig is going to retire here, he isnt looking to move up. The people who said that were so far off.

I understand the coaches opportunity but We now have to get behind Coach Trisch and support Elon by showing up and spreading the word.
