4. Marcus Sheffield has become the forth basketball player committed to Elon! He was a four star recruit out of high school and was recruited to Stanford by our new Elon basketball coach when he was an assistant to Johnny Dawkins at Stanford. Johnny Dawkins team took Duke to the wire last season while coaching at UCF Central Florida. Here is what Stanford had to say about Marcus!

Elon gets two basketball committs. One from Virginia and one from Georgia. Zac Ervin from Virginia and Hunter McIntosh from Georgia.
1. Zac Ervin committed to Elon after committing to Wofford this season. He reopened his recruiting after Wofford’s head coach took the Virginia Tech coaching position. Ervin a Former Wofford pledge joins Hunter McIntosh, a former Tulane commit who reopened his recruiting after the Tulane coach Mike Dunlevy was fired. These two recruits by new Elon head coach Mike Schrage gives Elon a talented back court perimeter tandem. In high school at Gate City, Virginia Zac played with Georgetown freshman Star MAC McClung forming one of the great scoring pairs in Virginia basketball history.

McIntosh is a four-year starter for the Spartans and ranks as the No. 2 scorer in school history with nearly 2,000 points. He led GAC to the state championship last season as a junior. Obviously he can score but is also the teams leader!
