Nothing makes loosing to a team by 42 points acceptable but the fact that VCU handed Duke a first round loss for the first time since 1996 makes me feel a little better. When I saw them at Alumni I knew that they were destined for the tournament. We'll see how they do in the 2nd round.

Believe it or not I actually picked VCU over Duke! But, I also picked BYU over Xavier and FAMU over Niagra.

I was telling everyone at work this week that VCU would beat Duke and they thought I was crazy. I was confident all week that VCU would win this game. I also have VCU going to the Sweet 16. They are a difficult matchup for most teams.
Go Phoenix!

Honestly, I felt like VCU was truly better than Duke. Duke was not a good team this year. VCU was the real deal. Yet, they fell just a little short in the 2nd round.

There's nothing like being in Durham when Duke looses in the first round of the NCAA tournament to a mid-major team.
