Choosing to stay anonymous as someone inside alumni fieldhouse. Players are beat up, coaches aren’t taking responsibility. HC And AD are putting the blame of injured players on the athletic trainer, when infact all he does is treat the injuries presented in practice, scripted by who? The HC. A good man is losing his job because they need a scapegoat. When will they realize who is really at fault? Game today was rough and will most likely be put on the players. I'm not on the inside, but I know the HC, AD and the AT. Blaming the AT for the season we're having is like an army general blaming the medics for losing a battle. Preposterous. In fact, it's hard to believe Trish would do that. (I'd believe it about the AD, that's his style, but what does he have to gain?) Those of us that have been on the outside looking in have been expecting higher than normal injuries, because of Elon's Covid policy preventing the players from being in shape enough to go full out. They had nothing like they do in fall seasons where they work out and run 7 on 7s during the summer then practice for a solid month in camp. In my opinion, if people in leadership positions are running around looking for someone to blame, THAT and THEY are causing a morale problem. "Cohesiveness" is a primary responsibility of all coaches from position to head AND AD. My advice is for the coaches AD, AT, players and everybody else in the program to look in the mirror and ask "Where am I falling short in helping my teammates out?" Figure that out & they will all learn something valuable that will help them in the upcoming season and beyond.
