I know how most feel about preview magazines, but just some food for thought. They have Elon picked 5th in the division, which is really no surprise. I think 3rd is doable as a stretch, but I just don't see Elon finishing ahead of UNCG or App. UTC will be tough as well. I think finishing ahead of WCU is a real possibilty but also wouldn't be a shock to finish behind them. The good news is this is Hines' last year and Minter's as well.

I do not know how good UTC will be this year--but we brought in 3 solid JUCO transfers (6-0 PG, 6-10 C, 6-5 SF), and have one eligible after sitting out (South Carolina transfer--shoots as well or better than Mays did--5-11 SG) all 4 are probable starters--along with Doaks (6-7 PF). We have several kids at back up who have experience--Shulman we play a lot of players. We should be better than we were last year--it may take awhile for everyone to gel--hopefully by January if not earlier. Shulman says he plans to run fewer set plays, fastbreak more often, and run a lot of motion.
