Just learned that 2011 alum Dr. Khirey Walker has returned to Elon as a Professor in Sport Management. Although he was not a huge name on the field, he was definitely one of the biggest community involved players I remember.
Once again I ask, why is this not getting any attention from the University or the athletic department? I mean you have a former football player turned professor and silence.

Khirey got his PhD at LSU and, I Believe, taught there for a couple of years. I beg to differ on the "huge name" comment. I'm not sure of his exact number of starts, but he played as many downs as the starters during his final season. He was a great and hugely productive interior defensive linemen.
In 2009 he played in all 12 games, had 20 tackles, 5 TFL, 3.5 sacks and forced 1 fumble which he recovered. A decent season.
