Not even gonna bother posting the stats lol they are good. They are ranked. We are playing at their place. Marcus Sheffield ain’t suiting up. We keep it respectable but I think CofC wins 74-63.

I hope your right in that we play them close but I got a feeling that this team has to feel defeated after that loss to A&T. Just don't feel like they have had enough time to process. Watching the post game news conference with Coach, Watson and Sherry - They all looked so defeated. I thought it was very telling when Sherry started talking about "New Guys Coming in Next Year" - He tried to back track but that told me that he and probably anyone else coming back next year are already looking ahead. I feel like this will be about an 18 point loss. I hope I am wrong. Who knows - I still believe anyone can beat anybody on any given day. We will see. Go Phoenix!!!

Love the competitiveness, hate the 3 point defense andddd Sean’s turnovers.

Tallies from the first ten minutes of the second halves in our last three games:
UNCW 24 - Elon 15 NCAT 22 - Elon 10 CofC 25 - Elon 9
Not a good trend.
Also through 5 CAA games we are giving up 14 OR a game. The team that leads the CAA, Charleston, in OR averages just 13.5 OR a game…
I don’t really expect us to be able to fix the offensive woes this season. But I do think our defensive and rebounding effort over 40 minutes could improve.

I actually thought we played a respectable game with the exception of all the missed layups in the second half. Mackinnon was a beast. I actually thought Halloran looked more like a D1 PG in this game than any so far. less dribbling and more trying to feed his teammates. JB, Torrence and Halloran had an off second half with short shots. Still, I felt like the team played hard and had a lot of solid play against a far superior opponent.

MacKinnon is going to be a monster in this league if he continues to grow his game. I love his variety. Halloran is just frustrating and so careless with the ball sometimes, it is truly mind blowing to see. Good flashes from Watson as well. If Sherry can bulk up a little more and we get another primary post presence, I think good things can happen. On the negative side, our 3 point defense is god awful. The only reason that the game was this close was because Charleston was whiffing on wide open looks in the first half. They finished 15/45 from 3 and we only took 48 shots all game. Once again, after the Wilmington game, I am expecting this team to get some wins. Just hope JaDun is ok and these guys continue to battle. M

Agree on all points FTP. I will say though that our 3 pt defense had a lot to do with the way and speed with which CoC moved the ball. That's the way good teams get open looks.
Looked like JaDun hurt his left ankle. When players go down like that without contact it is rarely good news. I too am hoping for the best for JaDun.
We've had three, soon to be five, (Wilmington again then Towson), straight games with blistering fast offensive teams. If we can find a way to play with these teams, it will pay big dividends for the remainder of this season and into next season. Gotta make those easy/contested layups though!!
