Apparently the Summit League plays wussball rather than basketball. Easy bumps are called. If these refs called the ETSU game, both rosters would’ve fouled out by halftime.

Higgins has Halloran disease. He doesn’t seem to know he’s short & gets stuffed every time he drives to the basket. Biggest difference is Higgins is nowhere near as fast as Halloran.

We appear to be maybe the worst second half team in the country. What’s up with that?
Anyone who travels for a living knows how far and how tough it is to get to North Dakota in the fall/winter. Lot of work and energy to travel all that way to play in a crummy gym in front of about 800 people. AND get smoked. Hope we lose the UND’s athletic directors number.

While I don't get why we played this game either - could have played much closer team/not charter a flight etc. But not that long ago we played in this.... so lets not act all high and mighty...

Some nights I wish we were back there. Alumni Gym was a fantastic college basketball venue, albeit small. But the smallness worked in our favor. Even a small crowd of 1500 made the gym 80% filled. I went to nearly every game the last 5 years we were there, and it was a great home court. Playing at UND was like playing in a morgue. No comparison.

Alumni was some of the best atmosphere ive seen. Especially my Sr year when we beat Clemson and started a nation leading win streak. Crowd was rocking. We also had the Tipple OT game vs UNCG and the Two seasons we played against APP who had a counterfeiter on their team. I printed up a bunch of fake 20's with his photo on it and Section 7 was waving it the whole game.

Yep, and we knocked off South Carolina in Alumni as well. I also remember a nip and tuck game with Davidson when he had them on the ropes, until Stephan Curry scored like 8 points in 90 second to pull it out. I mean, we needed to move on to a bigger and nicer facility like Schar, but man that place was special. And I have to say, we really have Matt Matheny to mostly thank. He pushed for the seating and aesthetic changes.

Would love to see them do a Heritage Game or something for one game a season where they go back to Alumni and play. I think it would be a success and would be electric.
