I heard that there is no drinking allowed during baseball games and that the police are there to enforce it. Is this true?
If so, I guess you can't drink while tailgating for football games either.

You can't drink inside the stadium, outside the stadium you can't have open containers.
And supposedly, the police can't search your open container.

Sounds like somebody complained about "the couch"....kind of a shame, given it's on campus and students can walk there. Course, Elon's "finest" do seem to enjoy flexing their muscle whenever they can get a chance.

no its always been like that. The police usually just told them to pour it out if they were 21 or put it into another container. Question is a keg into a mug consitered an open container........

For the Furman series, there were signs all over the grass that said "No Alcohol". Whether this was because it was an admissions weekend and the aim was to give the parents a good taste in their mouths, I'm not quite sure. And there were stationed officers there, but one of my buddies talked to one of the officers who apparently told him "If I don't see it, I don't care." Sounds like the Elon police force to me...

The "No Alcohol" signs seemed to work through about the third inning, then it was business as usual except a preponderance of red plastic cups.

The higher ups (as in the President) did not like what he saw during the South Carolina game. Thats why the signs are up.

What happened at the SC game? And since when has our president given a crap about anything that happens in the realm of athletics?

Just a little note about the President not liking what he saw at the USC game....I wonder how many other games he has attended?

Dunno, but the rumor is that he was really ticked at a meeting he attended last week.
