Adam posts his opinion.....and you guys get on him? I mean, all post directed towards Adam NOW seem "confrontational." Don't be hyprcrites here guys. Adam wants Elon to be successful and gets pissed when he sees otherwise. So he posts his frustrations and gets "singled out." Come on guys, not all of us can live with a .500 team, or winning the conference one season and finishing dead last the next. HE's not happy with it at all.....so why don't you guys show him the "courtesy" and get off his back, because believe it or not, there's not too much good in the athletic dept. right now. Moral victories shouldn't be a pat on the back for individuals anymore. Marked improvement should start to be seen on many levels.

Adam doesn't hide his identity....thats why he posted under his name on the new board. But yeah, that is net ettitque that I have been taught and did not use...just careless on my part.
Honestly man, Adam's my guy....thats why I have been extremely concerned. Guys like him were the reason why I elected to step up stuff on WSOE a couple of years ago. I know he wanted things to be better and I had connections....so I produced.
My frustrations with hearing the TONE (and not the opinion) is what else more can I do? I mean, Adam's been one of the guys that got me into this board. You've heard the story. Honestly, I want to help Adam ease his stress anyway I can. Yet, when things turn like this, I get frustrated because I know Adam, as a person, isn't like this. Like I've shouted (it seems), I don't disagree with Adam's main opinion....we need to get better, we need not to be content, and we need to have the highest standards. Has that happened totally? No. It needs to happen. Some steps have been made and some haven't. I hope that those come sooner than later.
No one can survive with that kind of stress. I'm with Adam on that, but on another level (lower). But I am trying to get off the "spree" for lack of a better term. Thats why I am a moderator because I think it can help me. And it has to a certain extent, but I'm not satisfied with how I've done. I may not be able to relate to the real world yet but.....
Adam is my guy...thats not going to change. And you're family so I know there is something good in you. We can work this out.

No problem with that statement. But there is a mature way to handle the disappointment. Adam sometimes goes too far with his negativity. Even leading to comments that are not true.
I am sure everyone will agree he is welcome here. We value his input. No one is attacking him when we stand against some of his comments that are just flat out wrong.
I will continue to jump in to defend players when absent-minded comments are made.

ElonPride, I understand what you are saying. Adam is the Dave Thomas (Wendy's) of the Elon message board, which is why I tend to get up in arms over his posts. I'll be the first to admit, because of the past issues I have read too much into Adam's posts recently and often times assume more is being said than what is really there. I really want Elon athletics to be successful and this board is a reflection on the fan base and the way we support our teams. We don't need to be running people off (i.e. PhoenixDad) we need to encourage people to post on here. The mods have given us the forum to do that.
Oh yeah and tennis regionals! Too bad it's on a Friday or I would make the trip to Winston. Would be my first live tennis event of any kind, but could be interesting. If they advance I assume they would play Saturday.

I know adam can be passionate, i am too and i know it can get frustrating. I'm only a 4 year fan so i still can say oh well maybe next time or its only one bad year. I can only imagine Adam feelings. As i stated when i created this board no grudges should be held against previous board members, everyone is welcome and no personal argument. When I locked that post it was not against Adam more just to stop the bashing. I was in a hurry last night and i should of posted a final comment to explain my rationing. I want Adam to know that he is always welcome here and i hope he registers when i lock out guests this weekend, due to phish and spam. If you feel i am being to harsh on you talk to me I'm trying to remain as neutral as possible on all topics.

Just my opinion, but I kind of think everybody should be allowed to vent how they feel (as long as it's not vulgar or intentionally degrading to others)...and agree up front, that's what a forum is all about...opinions. If everybody felt and thought exactly the same, there would not be much point in reading, much less posting. If one of us wears his feelings of the moment on his sleeve, we need to all remember the important thing is that he has a LOT of heart for Elon...and is only expressing his frustration...his opinions. If everybody just wants a news report, they don't need a forum. I think there needs to be some kind of "the issue we disagree about is over there"...but our mutual love for Elon is over here...kind of mentality.

I think everyone needs to get off Adam's back. I enjoy reading his posts at least as much as anyone else's. Do I agree with everything he says? Hell no! But, he makes me think. Does he pi$$ me off sometimes with what he has to say? You bet! But, guess what, this is a FORUM. Opinions are what make a board interesting. I understand that not everyone can be right all the of the time like I am, but hey, I say live and let die!
Quite honestly, the thing that pi$$ed me off the most about you Adam is that you got fed up and let the old board go belly up. But gosh, that doesn't mean I don't like to read your opinions!!!
