Saw this on the App board:
The latest APR information was released today and two SoCon football programs have received losses of scholarships in the two major revenue sports. Chattanooga will lose 6.3 scholarships in football, which is the maximum penalty allowed (10%). GSU will lose 4.66 football scholarships and 2 men's basketball scholarships

Is this due to problems related to graduation rates?

Isn't it due to overall academic requirements...graduation rate being one component, but isn't GPA also part of the formula?

And add to the confusion Coach Hatcher just kicked three (could be #4 later) players off the GSU football team for (of all things) breaking into cars and stealing stuff on the night of a Brad Paisley concert..
These guys will probably never stay in school at GSU to graduate, (there are no "how to correctly break into cars without getting busted courses) so our grad rate/GPA figure will take another hit..
But, on the bright side, BVG is gone and Coach Chris Hatcher is at the helm.. It might take awhile, but I think we'll be ok sooner than later.
Best Wishes,
J. Pomeroy
