A buddy of mine created the E-LAWN sign. There was no intended pun on the the grass at Elon, although another student with a dry erase board wrote "Our grass is greener" before the game started. That made me chuckle.
A great effort by the team, and nothing to hang their head about. We gained a ton of respect around the conference with this run, and will not be taken lightly next year. A big thank you goes out to Montell Watson and Brian Waters.
I didn't have a problem with the Curry 3-pointer until he started smiling about it. It was not the most classy move. As far as Jason Richards, however, it did not go unnoticed that he left the pile of Davidson players and went and shook the hands of all the Elon players. Thomas Sander then followed as well. Very classy move on both of their parts.

My outside impression of Sander is that he is a classy guy. A couple of times during our home game with Davidson when things were getting rough underneath & one of the Phoenix hit the floor, Sander attempted to help our player up.
Re: "The 3 Pointer" I honestly don't have a problem with it from Curry's standpoint. This guy is trained to go to the hoop any and every time a shot is available. I think he was simply on autopilot. When he started smiling after the shot went down I think that was when he thought about it and was a little embarassed. What else was he going to do? Walk around and apologize to all of our players and coach for taking the shot? I personally am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and root hard for Davidson in the playoffs.

I don't have a problem with the shot at all and it should be a non-issue. The fact of the matter is, it really didn't change the outcome of the game.

I am a little late weighing in - I could not connect last night - I don't know if anyone else had that problem.
If Elon could have made some of the easy shot they missed, especially in the first half... Nestor made this point. Could have been nerves or the effect of 4 consecutive games. But the players kept it exciting with the comebacks to make the game closse. I too was impressed with the Elon fans in attendance. This was great exposure for the school.
