I noticed that the 2008 baseball schedule has been posted in the 2008 quick facts pdf. Looks like no weekend series against the SEC early in the season like previous years. Wonder if that has to do with the later start. Excited to see what the team will look like this year. org.elon.edu/athletics/quickfacts/bb/quickfacts.pdfGo Phoenix!

Shame the first three conference series are on the road - will make it tough to get a really strong start out of the gate. Also a little disappointing that the biggest name school playing at Latham this year will be Wake Forest. Would love to see UNC or USC again or some other ACC schools make an appearance. Let's get Miami here for a Tuesday night game after they play a weekend series against one of our ACC schools.

It's good to see NCSU back on the schedule.

I'm surprised State's back on even though they won't come to Raleigh.
Good to see two home games with Wake and ECU. I hate UNC isn't coming this year, but two with Wake and ECU at home I like.
I'm still scratching my head at the four with A&T. I hope they are good this year...thats an RPI killer.
Winthrop and Coastal will help the RPI as well.
I find it interesting that we are going back to The Citadel.
Good schedule.

We are getting bowled over in schedules with the SoCon. The Citadel announced their football schedule for next year and we are back there in Charleston in 2008 too.

Samford joining the conference is flipping these schedules. We'll host Samford in football the next year, so to even things out, we'll have to go back to The Citadel.
Same thing with baseball. We'll probably go on the road to Samford in 2009, so in return, we'll have to host The Citadel in 2009 to even things out. Therefore, we gotta go back to Riley this year.

Just remember that those quick fact schedules and stuff can change pretty easily. Those are ususally pretty tentative.

The schedule should be out by now. The fact that they are only upon Quick Facts is very interesting....usually, the schedule is official by the end of the FWS.

I know some have said this schedule may not necessarily be final, but does anyone know if us playing three conference series at home vs. six on the road is right? I know there is some balancing going on to bring in Samford, but that's crap if this is really the conference schedule. I can understand 4 at home and 5 on the road, but 3 at home can't be right.
I also noticed that some of the conference series are on weekdays, especially late in the season. I imagine this is due to the later start.

The last series of the year usually starts on a Thursday, but that App series is VERY weird. The Campbell game on the 3rd of May is on a weekend.
Unless they are doing something different, I don't think this schedule is final anymore.
