this Saturday Dr. Earl Dannielly will be added to the Sports Hall of Fame.....
a life long Elon man and it's greatest advocate, Former President
Dr. D's love of sports and his wise hiring of several key coaches saved the school from down-sizing athletics.
if you get a chance to shake his hand please thank him for a life spent well for the Maroon & Gold.

I met Dr. D. my first day on campus. I loved him right from the beginning. My freshman year, I took his History of Elon Winter Term Class. That man is most likely the only one qualified to teach such a course. He was a great teacher - no tests, and class mostly consisted of him telling stories. He once told about "the phone call" when they asked him to be President. I don't remember the specifics, unfortunately, but you should ask him the next time you see him.
