What's up guys...I just thought I'd jump on here to talk some football with you guys and see some inside views of your team. I graduated from App last December and my wife and I live in Whitsett cause I got a job with the SBI. At the time I had no idea we were smack in the middle of Elon territory. Needless to say I fly my block A flag all the time and make it a point to wear ASU shirts when we go out (especially to target, that place is crawling with Elon students). Anyways, you guys have a good team this year, congrats. I'm learning the area pretty well (been here since May) but I may need some info on things to do around here. Burlington just isn't quite as fun as Boone. Later

1. Welcome to the area. It is a very pleasant place to live and raise children.
2. The Northern Piedmont area of NC isn't Elonville from an alumni standpoint. It is first UNCville then NCSUville then APPville. You'll have plenty of fellow alumni to visit with.
3. I didn't do it.

Well we're not big partiers. But we like the outdoors a lot. I've looked into some of the lakes around. Nothing really like the Hickory area where I grew up as far as lakes but they seem good for some fishing. We're up for anything really. What do the Elon students do to pass the time? (Other than drinking)

Burlington just isn't quite as fun as Boone. Later Whitsett now there ia a lot to do there. suburb of Gibsonville. Does Domino's deliver there? Nice truck-stop off I-85... not! New home of Red Oak Brewery a real plus!!! 1 or 2 exits down is Alamance Crossing and if you can't find Quality shopping there compared to Boone you need a guide dog. Now head toward Greensboro on old 70 before you hit StoneyCreek and other developments you will see last of a dying breed The Brightwood. In the 50's Elvis ate there while on the road. btw I have 2 brothers that are asu alums. Have you been to an Elon game yet? truthfully, isn't it a beautiful place?

Yeah we've definitely found Alamance Crossing and all that stuff. I actually live in Ridge Creek on 70. I've been wondering what the deal is with The Brightwood. I always see those neon steak signs and I joke with my wife that we need to check it out. I haven't been to a game. We've drove over to campus a couple of times to check out the stadium and everyone is calling dibs on stayin at the house during the App v. Elon game next year. It is a nice place, that's the reason we picked to live here instead of in greensboro. Do most students live on campus or do they live in apartments and townhouses around the area too?

I live in Brightwood Farms. I would not go into the Brightwood - you have to knock to get in, WEIRD!! I also heard its quite dirty. I know that some Elon students live in some of these townhomes, but a lot live in Apartments in Elon. Dominos does deliver here - it is right up the street, but not to my liking. I'll drive to Burlington to get Papa John's. There isn't much to do unless you go to Burlington, Greensboro, or Raleigh. Jordan Lake I hear is nice. I would also recommend hiking out near Winston. Anything else feel free to ask.
