11/11/07 Kyle Fleischmann, 24, has been missing since 11/8/07. He was last seen at Buckhead Saloon in uptown Charlotte around 12:30am.
A year after Kyle Fleischmann disappeared, the 25-year-old's father said he doesn't believe his son will turn up alive.
But the investigation continues in an attempt to find the younger Fleischmann's remains and closure for the thousands who've been looking for him.
Fleischmann, an Elon University graduate, went missing after spending a Thursday night in uptown Charlotte. The initial search focused on Buckhead Saloon; investigators later learned that he had a slice of pizza at Fuel Pizza a few hundred feet away. Investigations centered there and at the Fifth Street bar have reached dead ends. The case was also featured on “America's Most Wanted.”
In the last year, supporters have started the Kyle Fleischmann Foundation, which focuses on missing adults. The foundation held a golf tournament, banquet and candlelight vigil on Saturday. But Fleischmann's father, who recently hired a second private investigator, says his focus is still singular.
“I'm a little bit involved (in other things) but not heavily. My goal is to try to find out, unfortunately, where his remains might be,” Richard Fleischmann said.
Anyone with information should call police at 704-336-3949 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600
