Fellow Phans,
If the Phoenix Club were to host a cornhole tournament, what would the level of interest be? I see this as a great opportunity to bring together Elon phans of all ages playing a game that many of us know and love, all while raising a little money for the Phoenix Club to help support the great things our athletes have accomplished on and off the field in 2009-2010.
Hopefully there is enough interest that we can actually pull this thing off and make an annual late spring/summer time event.
Go Phoenix!!

Seems like this tournament would get better reception during tailgating at the home games in Harper lot. Not sure that folks would be willing to travel if this were an event by itself.

Would there be a game that is better than another if we were to have the tournament before a home game? I was thinking the home opener against Shaw since it probably won't draw a huge crowd and the tournament could help boost the attendance a bit

The home opener would be nice. It could get those tailgating in a worth while effort to help the Phoenix Club.

I made mine so you may have to go the same route or look on the net. I've seen plenty of sites that offer custom built/painted boards

If this tournament does become a reality and it were to take place before the home opener on 9/11 against Shaw, what would a reasonable admission price be per team? I've never played in one of these tournaments but I was thinking somewhere in the $20-$30 range would be reasonable depending on the prizes that are available. Any thoughts?
