ECU To Big East?

Wanted to revive this thread because there are a lot of moving pieces right now, with the Catholic 7 gone from the BE, the BE is in utter turmoil which will have consequences for CUSA, Sun Belt, CAA, and SoCon.

Message board chatter at CAAZone still speculates Elon and Davidson talks, especially with Appy and GaSouthern desperate to get invites up to FBS before any sort of moratorium is imposed by NCAA.

Talks about a new conference also forming from the remaining FB schools in the old BE.

I've not heard anything about Elon, except perhaps to the CAA, but right now that conference looks a bit unstable, with W&M possibly to the Patriot, GMU possibly to A-10 (to fill spots left by Butler, St. Lious, Dayton, etc.), but who knows.

Has anyone heard anything out of Elon? SoCon looks a bit unstable with CoC gone, GaSo and Appy wanting out.

W&M won't go CAA due to rules on red-shirts and scholarship limits. I posted information in the Elon only section. There's a lot more than CAA going on right now.

Agree, a lot going on in the CAA, so what consequences might this have for Elon?
