Man, what a season. Our pitching, especially our mid-week and bull pen arms has been less than stellar. Dare I say, brutal.
I'm not sure what has caused Kennedy to use Swim out of the pen. That experiment had been bad. 43.20 ERA bad.
Maybe we can catch fire and win the conf tourney. Outside of that, we have no chance at the big dance. Huge disappointment to say the least.

One interesting stat to think about. We have been outscored 129 to 80 over the last three innnings. Including 37 to 8 in the ninth.
In addition we have committed 25 more errors than our opponents.

It has been an interesting season. Done a fairly decent job in the conference, but VERY little success in the midweek OOC games, which is where the team really needs to get the wins against the top teams since we always have a really good schedule.
At this point it is definitely down to winning the SoCon tourney to make it to the dance, but even if we did I wouldn't be super confident in the chances going in to a regional at a site like Chapel Hill. The SoCon is pretty wide open for the tourney, though Western and Citadel have both been playing good as of late.

Regular season is over. Finished up SoCon play with an 18-11 record and currently sitting in 3rd place, but could move up to 2nd or down to 4th depending on the last weekend as the other teams finish up their seasons. The only way to move down to 4th would be for CofC to sweep GSU and move into a tie with us and then they have the tiebreaker with the series win. The Citadel also needs to win 2 of 3 against UNCG to stay ahead in the standings. If ElCid only wins 1 of 3 then Elon's win percentage is better.
A fairly wide open SoCon should make for a fun weekend Greenville in a couple weeks.
