Looks to be another pretty tough schedule for the men's soccer team. Interesting to note there are 3 CAA teams on the schedule this year (Northeastern, W&M and UNCW). Will be interesting to see how the team will perform with some key players graduating. Still a lot of talent on the team and a couple of new guys that look like they could contribute. Also good to see them opening in Durham. Will be an opportunity for those in the Triangle to see them open the season. www.elonphoenix.com/news/2013/7/8/MSOC_0708134744.aspxGo Phoenix!

Managed to get out to both games of the Duke Classic this weekend. Elon soccer looks like they are going to have another strong year. They drew 1-1 with Northeastern (CAA favorites) on Friday and then knocked off Rutgers today, 2-1. Both games Elon was down 1-0 at the half and battled back. The Northeastern game reminded me of the infamous "cramp game" between Elon and Richmond at Rhodes. Northeastern was dropping like flies late in the game and Elon had several opportunities to win it. Coming out of the weekend 1-0-1 is great start to the season.

About time men's soccer gets their own section on this site as I think we can agree they have earned it over the past few years. Relegate football to the "other" category for the next year or so....

Men's soccer wins another big game last night. UNCW had been ranked in the top 25 a couple of weeks back. Hopefully Elon starts getting some top 25 votes now. Tuesday's game is a big one against a ranked Wake team. Need the Elon fans to show up and support the guys. IMO Powell is starting to work his way into Mike Kennedy territory in terms of coaches Elon needs to find a way to keep at all costs. It's a shame these guys don't get more love on this board. Go Phoenix!
