www.elonphoenix.com/schedule.aspx?schedule=397Looks to be a really favorable schedule for Elon. 33 home games on a 56 game schedule. 5 of 9 conference series at home and one of the road series is in Greensboro. I noticed the roster is updated as well. Looks like a ton of new names and several jucos as always. I'm excited to see how the team does. Go Phoenix!

Nothing too out of the ordinary here - a lot of the usual midweek matchups. Always good to see UNC and NCSU on the schedule as it is a chance to get some big wins. ECU is missing - kind of surprising we couldn't work out a home and home midweek game series with them. Looks like Campbell and Liberty are new and I like getting Coastal coming back to Elon after we go to their Chanticleer Classic.

A little under 3 weeks away from baseball season getting underway. Anyone close to the program have any insight on what to expect this year? Pitching seems to be the big question mark. I see a ton of new pitchers on the roster, many of which are jucos.
Looking forward to things getting started and see if this team can make some noise in their final SoCon season.
Go Phoenix!

Just to expand on 99's post a bit. We have:
56 games 33 at home 39 in the NC Triad 41 within a 1 hour drive 15 games not within an easy drive
Those of us who are baseball fans better take advantage of this. It's not likely to happen again.

They will still play non-conference early season games at home unless they have a tournament or big time opponent such as S Carolina. As well, the midweek games are always regionally based so I would expect to keep UNC, State, Wake, High Point, A&T, UNCG (would think we would try to keep up with them). The main difference will be more travel to some away games, which are still decently close aside from Samford and Ga Southern.

It's really good to have Ga Southern, WCU, El Cid, and App State all at home this season. They are the 4 teams that were ranked above us in the combined Coaches' and Media polls.

I really don't think it has happened to this level before, even in the southern conference.
