No talk about the game...
It probably shouldn't have been that close, but Jack hit a huge 3 with .7 seconds left to give Elon the win. Listened to the radio call and Taylor had a pretty good call. Everyone else ahead in the standings won, so good to keep pace.

Actually, Chattanooga lost so made up a game to them. Yeah, I missed that. Still have enough games left to make a move up the standings. Only a half game back of Wofford and play them at home in a few weeks. Chattanooga is 1.5 up but no more games against them. Davidson is 2.5 up and that is the season finale at home.

Obviously an awesome shot by Jack. Takes guts to shoot that shot, especially after the day he was having. Our team without Troutman is a SoCon bottom feeder. GSU is not a bad squad, but our guys seemed to be just as surprised as GSU with what to do on the floor without Lucas.
Was glad to see our bench help get us through this one and here's to hoping Lucas heals quickly and we keep this streak up!

I'm still a little confounded at the lack of point generation with our team. Yes, I know Lucas was out, but I would expect the rest of the team to take a giant step up to compensate. There were many missed layups and short hooks within 10 ft. of the basket. 33% from a tall senior laden team, well, it's just hard to know what to say. I can see a lower 3 point percentage from time to time. 3 point shots can be a streaky thing, but 21% seems a bit low. And 61% from the stripe also seems a bit low. I would expect at least 72-74% there. It was a great, thrilling win. But, a look at the stats, shows under performance from my perspective.
Still love the team and am solidly behind them. I am, however, still looking for that commanding team that was expected.
Go Phoenix!
