Duke is favored by 32. Let's hope the Phoenix can have a decent showing on national TV.

Last year it was Dook by 38, and that was with our much celebrated 4 -thousand point scorers. I think if we can keep it within 32 we should be happy. On paper, this year we are a weaker team and my opinion is that Duke is a slightly stronger team this year.

There is something about the team this year that seems to have more fight than last year. We are young but I think we are much more athletic. If we can get anything from the interior we can give Duke a run. Will we win....no. Can we build for the rest of the season and be ready for CAA conference. Yes. A lot of winnable games the rest of the way.....after Duke. Go Phoenix!

Sabato just got a shot block... It was against Kevin Blake.

Every year we think we can make slow lazy passes against Duke. Every year we find out we can't. However, considering this is Duke, we're playing pretty respectably so far. Duke up by 9, 3:40 to play in the first.

We continue to have struggles in the front court. Very little offensive help. Eddy is our best player, by far.

Bryant looks very nervous. He's created several open looks but has tried to force it. If he can settle down he'll make a few shots.

Refs are starting to favor Duke. Lots of walks on Duke's part.

Samson is a good shooter but he needs to work on his passing. 2 lackadaisical passes=2 TOs + 4 points for Duke.

You know what I like. THEY ARE A SCRAPPY BUNCH!!!!! They made that sphincter-faced coach from Univ. of New Jersey-Durham and his squad work harder than they anticipated. Good job, guys!!!!

Really proud of the effort tonight. Kept fighting and made it respectable. Eddy has been killing it the last few games. I know I sound like a broken record and I know it was Duke/Okafor, but any kind of size on the inside could have limited those 2nd chance pts.
Anyhow, great job and hopefully they play with the same intensity on Saturday.
Go Phoenix!

This was a very impressive showing for Elon. Great minutes for Thompson, Hairston, Eddy, Blake, etc. The stats were very impressive for Elon against the #2 team in the country.

I loved our fight tonight. Great effort.
Couple thoughts.
* Eddy is our best player at the moment. * Samson needs to step it up. Two very lazy passes and some ill-advised shots. He can stroke it. However, he struggles with any athlete that guards him tight. * We have got to get more production out of our post players on both ends of the floor. * Blake is playing well. Just hard to find the right slot for him. * Hairston is improving. I'd keep getting him minutes over Winters, Anton and Sabato.
This team can make some noise. We just have to be more aggressive in the post. Sure we were up against a superior team. However, there were some serious lapses in effort down low.
I also loved that K bitched and moaned. Those guys get every call. I also loved Bryant getting in Sulimon's face. Punk play buy the Dukie.
Gotta get some things ironed out. Let's surprise some people in the CAA.
