Let's just pretend that game did not just happen.
I'd rather forget our performance tonight.

It's interesting. We had good play by the "bigs", but our 2 big shooters had a tough night.
Hofstra is one of the better long range shooting teams I've seen in a while. That transfer they have from SMU seemed to have confidence to shoot anywhere on the floor.

We're going to have inconsistency with a young team. You will also have off nights as a pure 3 point shooter, (although I'd like to see more ons and fewer offs from the junior). What I would have liked to see more of, since our shots weren't falling, is better defense. Hofstra was on offensively and we weren't, things are just going to happen that way from time to time. Good teams will find a way to win and when the O isn't working you have to make up for it with the D.
I think we're a year away from being a top tier CAA team. This year we have played like a top tier team several times. Mostly we lack is consistency. We have the talent and we have the ability. We just don't have the talent and the ability all of the time right now.

Tough one on Saturday. Will be interesting to hear from Coach Matheny tonight at the radio show at Mellow Mushroom. The guys have made it a habit to bounce back after games like this.

Exactly, the team is playing way better than expected. Some inconsistent play is to be expected. Ley it go and move on, still a lot of season to go.

Look at the predictions post, we are already where most people thought we'd be at the end of the season. Very exciting! Now on to one of our former SoCon Foes - College of Charleston, Wednesday night.

agreed, we are doing just fine. If you compare us to last year's team, Jack and Lucas had off nights on many occasions - the difference was we were much deeper in terms of who could be a scoring threat on any given night...this year's team is still developing those role players.

Hofstra looked really good. A lot of shooters and pretty darn athletic. Of the CAA teams I've seen they look like they could be the most dangerous in the NCAA tourney.
Def not the end of the world, but need to bounce back at home with a struggling CofC. My personal hope for the team is to avoid Friday at the CAA tourney. I think that's a real possibility.
Go Phoenix!
