Speaking of Redshirts /
HOOL 9 Conor Hughes QB 6-0 189 R-Fr. Basking Ridge, N.J. / Ridge 12 Connor Christiansen QB 6-0 187 R-Fr. Fishers, Ind. / Fishers 29 Cordell Forrest DB 5-9 162 R-Fr. Charlotte, N.C. / Rocky River 35 Jack Landry DB 5-9 176 R-Fr. North Falmouth, Mass. / Bishop Stang 54 Daniel Everett DL 6-2 240 R-Fr. Williamston, N.C. / Riverside 59 Josh Armstrong DL 6-2 224 R-Fr. Fayetteville, N.C. / Sanford 73 Olisaemeka Udoh OL 6-5 364 R-Fr. Fayetteville, N.C. / Sanford 81 Efrim Borders WR 5-9 179 R-Fr. Shelby, N.C. / Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy 89 John Luke Arrington TE 6-5 236 R-Fr. Springboro, Ohio / Springboro
just my take that We could have potential players on this list so let's take this group separately.
89- Arrington has the size at TE hope his hands are an improvement on what We have there. #73 Udoh if He can take a stance He takes up a lot of ground. Christiansen at QB has it's own unique issues , lefty good arm it should be a spirited contest with Thompson that surely will be discussed at length. If We r/s this years class to say a dozen that will be a good thing also have to figure most preferred walk ons will r/s but always a few develop into 5th year starters on scholarship

Kicking game should be addressed in recruiting next year. And pray for no pulled hamstrings.

In my opinion the one key in almost every winning program is presence of a really great offensive line. It almost always starts Here. You want a good defense? occupy the football and get numerous chances and convert in the red-zone. whether it's passing/ protecting or rushing/ run blocking if you can man up and dominate the line of scrimmage you will be in games and win your fair share of games. I believe every first year OL=man ought to redshirt .

Totally agree on the need for a strong O line. Especially with young QBs and, one would think, a desired emphasis on a running game.
Watch for Oli to be a brick wall at tackle.

The center is the point guard on the OL in most offensives He calls the offensive blocking and has to make perfect snaps it will be interesting who we will move into this slot

Absolutely. Critical.
The QB situation is clear. Competition between Christiansen and Thompson, with Christiansen currently in the drivers seat.
RB will be interesting simply because the load of injuries last season.
Expect a very young WR corps.
And I would say the TEs you can probably throw a blanket over the whole bunch. One or two will have to really separate from the pack in April.

Tight Ends & Possible H-backs
imho I think formation wise it might be good to split these guys out at pick play blockers and downfield obstructions can they get open and then catch it too?

Running backs like the receivers, I just do not know who the main playmakers are or could be. a lot of big play questions and hope that OC will devise some Bennett if healthy is a workhorse, Coppedge is all heart and Theos adds speed even from a Wildcat set.
priority is establishing the O line that can move the football. on the ground and in the air
