I think if Elon gets 2 of 3 next weekend they would be in a really good position to possibly get the 3 seed. That would put Elon at 14-10 in conference for the year. Northeastern is sitting at 11-7, so they would need to go 4-2 in the final 2 weekends @w&M and CofC to stay ahead since Elon won the series during the year and has the tiebreaker.

That 3 seed is big. Assuming CoC takes down UNCW that would put us playing UNCW. Also assuming we win the first and loose the second, a three seed would give us an extra days rest, due to the way the losers bracket works out.

Well...need Northeastern to get swept by CofC next week in Boston to get the 3 seed. With the way the team is playing right now though, not sure seeding really is going to make a whole lot of difference. I know the pitching staff is dealing with a lot of injuries, but that doesn't explain the regression of several senior pitchers.
Hoping the time off next weekend does the team some good heading into Charleston.
Go Phoenix!

No chance at regular season winning record. Whens the last time that happened?

Well we were due a season like this. We had moments of sparks but fell apart other times. Id say we still have a great chance at no 3, unless CoC rests its top pitchers. Either way its not looking good going into the tourney.

Well as the standings are, Elon needs Northeastern to get swept this weekend and then it would be the 3 seed. If Northeastern just gets one win then they will get the 3 seed and Elon will be the 4 seed.

Worst record since 1999, I think. Maybe we can make a run. However, we've had significant issues on the mound. You never know. Two years ago we did it!

Northeastern won the first game of the series to take the 3 seed. That pushes Elon to the 4 seed and a matchup with Delaware who is already slotted into the 5th seed. The game will be next Wednesday at Noon. The winner would move on to face CofC.

I'm confused how it's for sure Delaware on Wed. If Towson wins the next two don't they leap Delaware for 5th and bump W&M?

99, its not that easy. If that happens it will be a 3 way tie with WM, Del, Tow. All went 1-1 in common games. I am not sure of the Tie break procedures, but my guess is it would jump to overall record. Delaware having lost a bunch of games on the schedule due to weather would end the season 22-22 putting them at 500 and the best of the 3 teams.

Now that I look at it closer I think it comes down to overall record against the other two opponents. Towson would be 3-3 because of a series loss to W&M, Delaware would be 4-2 because of a series sweep over W&M and W&M would be 2-4 because they were swept by UD.
