BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Elon University Department of Athletics and the Curtis Media Group have announced that all remaining Elon baseball radio broadcasts will be carried on WSML 104.5 FM/1200 AM, the sports voice of Alamance County. The first game on WSML 104.5 FM/1200 AM will be this Friday, March 20, when the Phoenix opens a three-game series against James Madison at Latham Park. Previously, games were broadcasted on WPCM 95.1 FM/920 AM.
In addition to Elon baseball, WSML 104.5 FM/1200 AM will air ESPN programming such as Mike and Mike, The Heard with Colin Cowherd, ESPN Sportscenter and more, along with The David Glenn Show from Raleigh and Primetime from Charlotte. WPCM is the Curtis Media Group Sister Station to WSML.
"We are thrilled to announce this new partnership with WSML," said Elon Director of Athletics Dave Blank. "Moving our baseball radio broadcasts to sports-centered platform will enhance our reach in this region and give fans a new and exciting way to follow Phoenix baseball."
In addition to baseball broadcasts, all Elon Baseball Live radio shows will air on WSML 104.5 FM/1200 AM moving forward.
"Elon fans can enjoy the broadcasts on either 104.5 FM or 1200 AM," said Byron Tucker, General Manager of WSML and WPCM. "The addition of FM culminates many months engineering work and we are thrilled to give our community the global sports brand of ESPN and Division I athletics from Elon University."
