Only report I've seen so far (very early) is from Adam Smith's tweet:
@adam_smithTN: As #Elon finished its first practice tonight, QB Connor Christiansen worked w/ first-team offense. Sharp throws to Tre Lennon, Zach Duprey.

And then I saw Skrosky's evaluation of day one. elonphoenix.com/news/2015/8/6/FB_0806152718.aspxOverall positive with the attitude and tempo. Clearly concerned about the large numbers of freshmen, but he seems confident they are rising to the challenge. Seems to be deliberately breeding leadership in a few of the older guys. Good move, I think.

Went to practice yesterday. I'm not sure what the year will bring, but practice certainly was impressive. Highly up tempo with lots of enthusiasm. If you move kind of fast you get left behind. Fast, precise, impressive. The D looks very sharp. Lots of technique still being taught on offense. The youth is obvious on the offense, but not in a bumbling way. Just seemingly more mechanical rather than a flow. D flows. Really looking forward to the season now.

Outside of QB I was wondering what the depth chart is looking to be with all the first Year guys coming into the program. as a general rule jot down jersey #'s so We can compare depth charts. thanks for the input.

Haha too anal for me. Lots of camp left to go. I'll pay more attention in about three weeks. Right now it's just fun to watch the overall practice.

Watched a bit of practice again today. Did not watch any D. The 1's on O line look to have good size and decent footwork. Oli is one large dude. At 6'5" 350 he is easy to pick out of a crowd. He has very good footwork. The O line will be significantly bigger this year versus last, overall, but they will also be younger. It's really hard to tell just how good they'll be in uppers without a solid D line going after them.
Malcom Summers looks to have very special skills. His balance is excellent. His acceleration looks good too. Here too it's hard to tell if if he'll use that acceleration effectively to hit the line of scrimmage with some power, but right now, ladies and gents, we appear to have a bright spot at the RB position. Summers also looked like he was trying to earn the starting position. A conspicuous veteran did not.
At QB I'd have to say Connor is #1. Daniel may be a touch better in the footwork department, but Connor seems to scan quicker, and looks smoother. Also, with regard to passing, Connor looks very good. He has a lightening quick release and very good accuracy. He was only off with one pass while I was there, which was slightly low, but was still caught by the receiver. Right now he is clearly the best passer, Daniel is clearly second best and the others, while not awful, are significantly behind Connor and Daniel. From a leadership standpoint, Connor seems to have the edge, but Daniel is right there too. Leadership has off the field components, which I know absolutely nothing of, between the two.
I didn't see anything overly special with the receivers today. They were all catching the ball, tucking and running after the catch. No one made any obvious mistakes in route running.
I'll post again after my next practice visit.
