Just looking at the tweets from the Pendulum, the offense is starting to come alive. That's very good news. I'm looking forward to hearing from people who were there. Nothing beats eye witness reports.

tweets from the Pendulum hmmm how about tweets from the cheap seats? say that 5 times quickly!!! threat I got a chance to visit and see the Lads go at it. no one looks that large until you are right next to them. I am becoming impressed w/ the OL I think there are 8-9 guys that can play and will run block as well. looking at the Defense they move to the ball and could supply us with turnovers. #89 can be a great threat if he shows the skills that He caught and scored on a deep shot over center field and dragged 3 guys at least into the end zone CC has more zip and moxie but @12 & 13 showed some good flashes. Kicking game looked solid a few drops and good pick ups from Wideouts. not too many walking wounded We do need or will miss #15 Pearsall seems like a slower rehab.... but who can tell at this point

#13 Conner Hughes really showed some real running ability , good ball fakes.
gotta say #30 first year RB Summers really looks the part. If BJ gave his second effort He would be great. Coppedge is a slasher. I wish they threw more passes and screens to the backs. Zach Duprey as an H back is a threat in red zone and TE is solid Arrington makes Ol very formidable

hump, a QB with a running threat could really help this team.

Skrosky was quoted in a recent article saying that CC has legs. In the scrimmages, I'm not sure we can see that because they play two-hand touch with the QBs.
But I agree, a QB that's not afraid to run and can gain 5-6 yards per scramble or on the read option would transform this offense.

It seems to me that this preseason has seen fewer updates on the football team on the Elon Athletics website and fewer updates from the head coach. It is disappointing for me as a fan not to have these communications. I wonder why this has occurred? Have others noticed this?

Maybe fewer updates from "reporters" on the website but camp just ended and we've already had two letters from Skrosky. We've had at least 3 articles a week from BTN and the radio show and the football luncheon start next week. May be just my perception.

I thought in years past the website had updates after most practices. I only received one newsletter from the coach on 8/4. When was the last newsletter sent out? Even two newsletters are much less than Lembo sent out - although I know he was exceptional in that regard. I agree the newspaper and radio show, etc are still at a good level. I am probably being too picky.

I don't remember lots of Lembo letters during camp. During the season and spring ball yes. I may be remembering incorrectly. Lembo was absolutely the master communicator though. I'm not, but if I was the head coach of any college team, I would publish a weekly letter durin the season and a monthly letter in the off season. It's just not that hard a thing to do and the fans really eat that kind of thing up. I think if I were the AD I would require that from all of my head coaches.

I would be expecting a letter in the next day or two also Coaches luncheon tomorrow should be a bit enlightening
