Here's what I will do. I will give my opinion on any topic for which I think my opinion is worthy of sharing.
And I will henceforth ignore you since, by your own admission, your agenda is to pester me. Life is too short to waste worrying about these annoyances.
Take care.
And to my friends elonnewbie and fc97, I'll treat you to a drink and cigar next time we get together.

I think both QBs can, in fact, get it done. You do? Why? Thus far they have both have been terrible. CC is grossly inaccurate downfield. I see potential in DT, but thus far he hasn't done much either.
I agree the play calling needs to change. There are a lot of options on how to improve the play calling, but please please I hope we see changes there.
If I was coach, I would focus on getting a mid-range passing game going, which will then enable a running game. To me it all starts with a mid-range passing attack, use the TE's more, run some 10 yard outs, some slants. Quick timing passes. I would be practicing that all week. QB should throw the ball before the receiver breaks or turns. All timing. And I would simplify the passing plays. This crap about each WR being able to run multiple routes on each play, and the QB and WR are supposed to have the same reads based on what the D is showing - it all seems like a lot of guesswork to me. I know it is how Ohio State and the big boys run things, but for Elon right now it is over-engineered and the proof is in the results - it is not working. Simplify things a bit until we get some success.

Elonfan10,
I think we're saying the same thing. Most important change is the scheme or play calling. Change that and then I think we can judge the QB more effectively.

I don't understand the variable route thing. How does the QB even know where to throw the ball? Could someone shed some light on this for me?

I'm not really on the fence, I just don't know what should be done. I haven't seen a team with personnel problems as bad as ours since Segraves last year.
DT had his shot, maybe he gets another. I think we should go CC again, at least for a start.

Finally had a chance to catch back up and wow, shots fired at Homer! Bottom line, while i dont agree with the tone, Homer, you have seemed a bit CC leaning since early this season. But hey, isnt that what this is all about? Back after a couple games in, i noted that this offense and this play calling was not going to cut it, but many told me I needed to be patient and if we dont see improvement over next four games, then they would agree. We are way past that and still not the improvement you need even with a young team. To follow Homer's request...my thoughts: Coaches - Skrosky and Co - it is there job to put a game plan together and have the players in that can execute it. So far I think this is our biggest problem. Offense - painfully slowly we have gotten away from the dreaded WR screen and then the follow up play, the hand-off up the middle. They are still very much apart of the offense, but thankfully not as regular and predictable. With two young QB's, the routes should be defined, not open ended for interpretation. Lets face it, two QB's who have not played with these TE and WR in games for long enough period for them to be guessing who is going where. Give them the shallow crosses and TE sitting between the backers and maybe we can improve the percentages and move the chains to gain confidence all around. QB - right now NEITHER is starter ready...for this level. DT throws a better ball, but has flaws that need to be fixed (we have all discussed already these). CC is the gamer of the two. Will tuck and run, but cannot throw consistently deep . Should be a platoon still as games where we fall behind big, DT has to be playing. Games where the Defense keeps us in, CC and his limited passing but great running can pull a win as we saw early. This week hopefully will be like the early games. OL - harder to comment here as I spend more time watching the backs and QB but I definitely think Acha and some of the older kids who played up until this year should be seeing some time. Its not like DT and CC have had ample time to throw or the holes are wide enough a truck can drive through... RB - Summers, Gentry and Phan. If Summers is still gun shy from his concussion early, then it should be Gentry and Phan, the two hardest runners we have. Bennett is too upright and slow through the holes. Coppedge is fast but only once hes through the line and right now with no holes, he's dancing too much. Also, not sure where his head is after the treatment he received which was uncalled for. I stand by my statements in that post and will not state again. Any of the comments after saying stuff about the working world are out of touch. TE - maybe sprinkle in some Pearsall, but right now they are not the issue. We need to find them in the passing game for 4-8 yrs over the middle! This group has performed well all season as a group with Warrick, Duprey and Tate. No fault there as they are making an impact with what little opptys they are given. WR - McCray, Oliver, Seidwan, Thomas, Allison/Joyner. I would use Tre in the red zone and see if his not playing will wake him up and see the fight for the ball we saw last year). Frankly, with the way we throw the ball, all should be playing to find the right mix and whose hot that week. Too many comments on this threat have posted they would start the same group as we have been playing - why? We have seen and complained about them all season and the lack of effort and drops. Sit them and see if their in game concentration improves. FYI, I stopped by practice last week during the bye and saw Oliver and Seidwan beating our first team defense multiple times, with no drops on regular short crossing routes, slants and long catches without drops. The normal culprits had the same drop issues. Joyner is going to be good, but right now, way way to many drops and its happening in practice too. Bottom line, from my point, I think we have some good kids, not Mellette good, but good solid kids we can win with. However it is up to the coach to put them in a position to win and right now sticking with kids dropping balls is not helping our young Qb's. My views...and I hope we are ready for this game, as I think it is the best opportunity for a win!!!

Good post FF. I agree with everything you said. Need defined routes for TE's and WR's. Upper class lineman Acha, Ingle, Richardson, Ford should all be getting PT. I agree on the running backs too but why can't the RB coach teach Bennett how to run low and hard. He has size, speed and power just bad habits. If I was RB coach I would make him run gauntlet drills and Oklahoma's all practice. Coppedge could be good change of pace back ....jet sweeps, etc. I would also continue to play both QB's until one clearly outplays the other. DT seems like better passer, CC better decision making and scrambler. They both seem very small when compared to other CAA QB's.

FF, I disagree with your statements regarding Coppedge, but at this point, we'll have to agree to disagree. I pretty much agree with everything else.
I don't know that Acha is a starter, but he belongs in the 2 deep. He has lost weight since last year. He may be in shut down mode. Ingle is too small, Richardson should be a starting center unless there is an issue with snaps. I don't know enough about the other OL to comment.
Phan should absolutely be on the travel team and should get some reps every game. He's proven his worth. Our bread and butter RBs are Summers and Gentry. Bennett and Coppedge are back ups if one of the others gets hurt. We aren't a jet sweep team.
McCray and Oliver are our two best receivers. I don't care who the QB is or who the other receivers on the field are, but either QB has to be a dumba$$ not to target TMac and DO. I like Joyner and Lennon OK, but they aren't money.
No other comments on offensive personnel.
