Looking forward to our first visit to Elon. Pretty good group coming and expect we'll have 1,000+ in the stands.
Is the McMichael Lot the best choice for tailgating? Any other options?

Welcome to Elon - if you have 1000+, pretty sure you will have more fans than Elon that day, esp. given the predicted rain. (although some of our fans are lucky enough to be invited into the boxes ...and others of us can to to the former athletes lounge, which make stands look even emptier). I'm truly not sure what the current visitor tailgate lots are...McMichael is across the street from Mosley (slightly closer to stadium)...not sure if they still charge $5 per car or not. Although it will be pretty empty, I think they will still require a pass for the softball lot (across street from stadium). Campus is small enough that your walk should not be too bad. Safe travels! (and unfortunately, I fear the Tribe will indeed "roll")

I'm not sure what time the McMichael lot opens on Saturday. I think you can get in 4-5 hours before gametime. There are closer lots in the Softball lot and the Ingold lot, however the only chance to get a pass there is to buy one from someone not attending the game. You can call the Athletics Department and see if there are any non purchased passes. The McMichael lot is reasonably close, not much more than about a quarter mile from Rhodes Stadium and a pleasant walk in good weather. Also there is a bus to take you to the stadium that runs regularly before, during and after the game. We're looking forward to hosting W&M. You are one of the CAA schools with which most of us really looked forward to competing. I made the trip to Williamsburg last year and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Hopefully the weather will turn out better than currently predicted. If you have any other questions about the area, don't hesitate to ask!

Welcome W&M! Something interesting to think about.....if Elon were able to win the game this weekend, it could vault the team all the way up to 4th place, depending on what happens with the other conference games. Likely? No. Fun to think about? Yes!

Welcome Tribe: Here is a suggestion as sometimes I park free in a spot right intown.I then take a 10 minute stroll through Campus which is always changing and I never take the same route. There are free shuttles leaving stadium as well if you wish to ride. Make yourself at home. I hope our youngsters will compete well w/ you-all.

Thanks for the welcomes! Coming in early Friday and playing Bryan Park Champions course. Staying at Best Western Plus which I gather hosts your weekly media deal. We'll be in the bar Friday evening and hopefully get to mix with some Phoenix fans.
Your youngsters competed plenty last year and expect the same from them Saturday. Any inclination from our team to take someone lightly was banished at Delaware a month ago.

Bryan Park should be in good shape. We had an incredible amount of winter kill from last winter. I played the champions course this summer the day before it closed for repairs. If you've never played it you're in for a treat. It's usually beautiful this time of year as well but with all the rain most of the leaves may have fallen. Still a great course though.

I think this game will end up being a little more interesting than most think. Unlike last week, and the Furman game from '13, I'm not going to make a total proclamation or prediction....but I have a feeling. That gut feeling has served me well twice this season..... . FC, we've seemingly been on the same page the same weeks, any thoughts?

FC, we've seemingly been on the same page the same weeks, any thoughts? I don't know if I'm the FC to whom you refer, but I think under normal conditions our 18 point dog status is about right. I don't expect any more 51-0 type scores, well, ever again, but under normal circumstances, I also do not expect a win. W&M is just to balanced, and seasoned a team to expect a miracle here... under normal circumstances... However, I looked at the weather report this morning. It showed a forecast of 100% chance of rain, which means it will likely be a lot like the Towson game. Lot's of "non-normal circumstances" were at play for that game. If we can win the turnover battle and make W&M a little more one dimensional, like we are, who knows? So you're saying there's a chance? Yes dumber, that's what I'm saying. It's remote, but there's a chance.

If it's raining, we are going to have to run the ball. Not our strong suit.

We are gonna take our lumps this weekend... W&M has too much riding on this game to slip up. If they beat us and Towson they will play their final game of the season against Richmond for the conference championship.
I would like to see us stay competitive though and show that we can move the ball. I think there are two more wins on our schedule if we continue to progress offensively.

If it's raining, we are going to have to run the ball. Not our strong suit. That's a negative way to look at it. I'm not expecting a win, but I believe thinking we can't pass is incorrect. 2009 was one of the raniest seasons I can remember. It rained on the Hall of Fame, Family and Homecoming games. We beat UTC 45-10 with 230 passing yards, The Citadel 43-7 with 278 passing yards and GA Southern 28-14 with 338 passing yards, all in the rain. It's a little more difficult, but as always, it's more about determination and making plays than anything else.

We are last in the league in total offense. How else am I supposed to look at it. I hope we break out of our funk on offense and the D stiffens up.
I am always hoping for a win. This would be huge going down the stretch.
