Elon finishes at home with a winnable game. With a win and a lot of strange things we could end tied for Fifth. More likely is 5th or 6th. Finishing mid pack would be a great win this season and going out with a W would put a happy end to a season of turmoil.

Who starts at QB? CC moved the team really well and keeps the oppposing defense off balance. I don't understand why they pulled him late after one interception.

My understanding was that CC got clobbered on that play and possibly hurt his back or something. I don't think he was "demoted" for that play, but for his safety was sat down. Then again, who really knows?

Then again, who really knows? Thompson did come in and the offense discovered a running game and led to 2 scoring drives in the 4th quarter. I know both guys will want to play but they have worked hard to improve and the competition has been good. Wish other positions were done this way. Hope guys get a good Senior day send off.

Key to winning the game will be to stop UD's running attack. Their passing attack is almost nonexistent. I expect a low scoring game as their defense is very good.

Lady, I know the guy that ran the last forum and the one that runs this one. Both were computer science grads, neither played varsity. No connections like you think.
Please just stop.

Not sure discovering a run game qualifies DT to start. Also, dont expect a big crowd, classes end friday for the holiday break.
The school should give the tickets away to the community in an attempt to create some energy and buzz in the stadium.
Like most of the teams in the bottom half of the CAA which UD will show up?

Free tix to area High School and middle School students would be good. I've got a good feeling about this game. Notwithstanding the emotional component of our end of season, I think many of the players feel they have just discovered their overall improvement and aren't quite ready for the season to end. I'm expecting a strong finish.

Ladyinred, this is your final warning. Since you are a guest I cannot message directly. If you continue to ignore the request to stop the attacks you will be banned. I have been very generous in my allowing you to continue in your attacks on current registered posters and the school. I understand that we all have strong opinions but its this boards policy not to make public accusations with no merit. Feel free to say I told you so when ESPN breaks this story but until then lets drop it.

I know I'm repeating myself from the Maine thread but I just wanted to say again how proud I am of the players for their effort last weekend in Maine. I had two friends die when I was playing high school football. I'm an old guy now but I still remember the pain. It was deep, intense and impossible to quell. The only thing that made it any easier was our relationships with each other. When I read the statement in the newspaper article where John Silas said that they were playing now for Demitri and one another, it reminded me of my own experience. I'm not sure whether any players read this forum, But with all our ranting and raving over the course of the season, please know that I, (and I expect everyone else on this board), care about each and every one of you and want nothing more than to see you succeed and be fulfilled in all of your endeavors, not just football.
So go out there on Saturday and take care of business with Delaware for Demitri and yourselves.
Go Phoenix!!

I think this will be a tight, good game. And I think Elon will pull it out in the end. My hen we can look back on the season and see the incredible strides that have been made -- and dream of even more next year. But first things first.

Not sure what to think this game, as Delaware did beat W&M.
To be honest, the season is just about right where I thought it would be. If the team pulls out the win this weekend, we'll be exactly where I thought we would be in the win loss column.
The team has some good building blocks for the future for sure, but I think Skrosky may need to go after a couple transfers.

Delaware's D is decent. We'll need a strong effort from our D, again, to pull this one out. We'll need to protect the ball and take advantage of Delaware TOs. I think the score will be relatively low. Elon-17, Delaware-10.

Well there you go. I still think it'll be a relatively low scoring game, that we will win.
