With a month or so to go before spring practices, there's not a lot stirring around here. So, let's look forward.
What do you expect to see in April? What are areas you believe will be improved or not?

The offensive line should be much improved coming into this spring returning the entire starting cast. Obviously the area everyone will be wanting to see improvement will be the QB position, but the D-line will be interesting to watch after losing four seniors who played significantly.

I agree that QB and DL are the two main areas that need to be solidified to improve on last season's record.

For the QB position, coach has to pick one guy and stick with him. Yanking out after one pick doesn't help anyone. Name a starter and ride him at least 4 games.
O line, I think and hope, will be a significant improvement. The run blocking especially. If we can get something of a running game going, the O will be dynamic (or more dynamic anyway).
Receivers I think we have a good chance of seeing freshmen contribute again this year. Hoping their play is improved.
D provides me the biggest question marks. I don't know how they can improve and they lost a few key players.

First, I'd love to see us score some points in the Sprinf game. We've not been able to score in that game or in the regular season.
Second: I'd like to see more up tempo on offense. The spread is no longer a gimmick. To run the spread, you need to run at tempo.
Third: Get a running game. We've been horrible.
Fourth:
Pick a d**n QB. Last year was a joke. I

nice takes with over 20 redshirts added as holdovers from a slew of first year guys that did get playing time We will still be young but there is always a gem cutting out of this group. Yet We still have guys coming back with experience. One note our Linebacker signees all come in at 230# and are the heaviest. We still need to find playmakers and Quarterback play must improve. To run a spread offense a QB must be around 70% completion rate so there is much to work on.

QB play is critical in any modern approach to football. Our guys are young, but both got valuable experience last year. Now's the time to see what they learned and if they have what it takes to get the offense to the level we would all like to see. Again, though, that won't happen with revolving starters. One of these guys better clearly win the position this summer (preferably this spring).
Summers is a horse at RB, but all we have behind him are incoming freshmen. Not overly hopeful there but wanting to be pleasantly surprised.
Receivers need (NEED) to have some separation and yards after catch. Oh, and please, please, please limit the drops.

I think one has to look at this roster and see exactly where the upgrades are located. Over the last 2 recruiting classes. WR height has been added I can see 6-5 Tre Marsh w/ Spring practice getting in the rotation quickly Lennon on the other side w/ Joyner, McRay, Ramseur a Healthy Jon Thomas and a flexed TE RJ Pearsall who is also healthy. Those are all quality targets. John Luke Arrington is a big TE O-Linemen looks better all the time also have depth there. The New Running backs could really have a shot and young guys have not been pounded in practice. Maybe We could throw a screen pass. Nice to have Summers returning. Defense let's see a couple of spring scrimmages

I would say all the redshirt defensive players, especially the defensive linemen. The incoming freshmen running backs should see playing time.

Incoming WRs & TEs. Also McNair may get reps at RB. It's hard to say if any true frosh will be ready for DL but if they are, I'd look to see them get reps as well.

With Spring ball coming up, any idea concerning the depth chart?
