First, congrats to the women's team again for back to back championships and consecutive tournament appearances! That's really a big deal!
Downside.....just couldn't get things going from an offensive standpoint. The team had been shooting well all season at about 45% from the field, which was 31st in the nation. Sounded like the younger players had some nerves early on, which I would expect.
A loss always stings to end a career, but to the seniors Burnett, Garner & Johnson.....you had fantastic junior and senior years, going 52-15 (89-41 in 4 years overall) with 2 CAA championship rings!
Lots to look forward to from the team next season with 9 on the roster returning.

Agreed. Yesterday didn't go as well as I was expecting, but doesn't take away from what they accomplished this year. The three seniors took Elon hoops to new levels. I think Burnett ended up finishing top 4 all-time at Elon in points, assists and rebounds. Quite a career.
They kind of became their own worst enemy in the first half offensively. A lot of unforced turnovers.
The Elon fan turnout was pretty solid. A lot in the Elon section and a lot scattered throughout the arena. Got really loud a few times.
Go Phoenix!
