Well, well...three in a row over the Spiders. Boy that has a nice ring to it. Once, they were a program we wanted to be like. Now, they may be a program that wants to be us. Minus the six FBS transfers they have. Times seem to be desperate in the West End.
Overall, not much to say other than awesome game. We struck early and often and the yardage disparity was mostly late in the game. It was great to get our backups reps. They WILL need to be ready.
Offense: A+ Smooth and efficient is the best way to describe our performance. The reads were quick and decisive. Well done by Folmar to get quicker in the play sequences and not have Cheek stand back there and allow for the rush. We are also more North/South in our running game and it is paying dividends. Everyone contributed.
Defense: A Our zone coverage schemes can be suspect at point but we are running to the ball really well and swarming. Our speed is evident on turf. One play that stood out to me was the effort to track down Fuller and trip him up on. Long play. I love that effort.
Special Teams: A NO BLOCKED PUNTS! Add in the TD return and poof your earn an A!
Coaching: A+
Great game plan and the kids were ready to play from the start. Can’t ask for anything more. Our recruiting has yielded some really good players. Especially at WR.
Let’s get through Wake with no injuries. Then let’s get after it against JMU.

Enjoyed your summary. Thanks for doing this. I was also impressed with how quickly Cheek was getting the ball to the receivers.

Looking back at the film, a major improvement over last week was the O-line. They protected as well as they did in the Citadel game, but this week they were incredibly disciplined on the snap count. We caught the defense twice on a hard count, both for first downs. Last week, we jumped off sides multiple times. Huge improvement and potentially difference makers in the game.
