Elon at JMU. Big game to say the least. I think it's a winnable game if we keep playing good and we follow Nova's game plan against JMU. Anybody can beat anybody, that's why we played the game!

Excited about this one. Good opportunity to showcase our teams true ability.
I hope we live and die by Cheek this week. Would be nice to get a little more from our ground game but hopefully we don’t force that on offense. Let’s let our special players be special this weekend and go steal one in Harrisonburg.
Our first two drives on offense will be critical in this game.
Hope the boys and staff are prepared for this one and let’s go get it done.

I agree with living and dying by Cheek, but I feel like our first two drives on offense won't actually be the critical parts. We could go up by two scores and JMU would likely just get pissed and come back swinging. The X-Factor will be the fourth quarter. I can almost guarantee we will be within two scores at the beginning of the 4th quarter, either up or down, and that fourth quarter will be everything. |

That’s a hell of a guarantee…sure about that Hoid?  Think this one falls squarely on which team shows up for Eion….the one with the fire and the head coach wanting to give his former boss what for….or the team that we saw that lost to Wofford and barely squeaked by Campbell. Coach almost found a way in the spring, even with a team depleted by injuries. Maybe he’ll find the magic this go ‘round….gut says this one won’t be pretty  |

Villanova runs the same defense as we do I think, So copying them on D will definitely be a good call.

It sure would be nice to beat JMU before they move up to FBS. Especially on their home field. This might be the last time we play them if they do move up.

JMU is surely picking on Wingard today and he hasn’t come close to taking care of business. He has been beaten on seven passes so far. He just tried to return a kickoff and that was a disaster.

We had 4 “also rans” on the defensive line for the last series. You tell me that college kids can’t play 2 series in a row? We never seem to have our best 11 in the game at the same time.

Tough outing today - defense, particularly the secondary was embarrassed today. Multiple times we let them extend drives on 2nd and 3rd and short because we gave them 7 yard cushions on the outside. We made JMUs offense look all world today.
Frustrating that we didn’t run two minute hurry up in the second half. Even down 24 with 8 to go in the 3rd, twice we ran the ball on 2nd & 10 for no gain.
Need to forget about this one quickly and be much better prepared for next week.
The bad news - our losses to Wofford and W&M, which should have been wins make our margin for error nil from here on out.
The good news - can still accomplish a playoff berth by winning the next three.
Coaches - this as good of offensive talent as you’re going to have most likely. Let them go out there and sling it. If I see a run on 2nd & 10+, I’ll lose my mind just out of principle.
