This game stresses me out. We are riding high after Delaware, looking to go undefeated at home, and playing a team that has given opponents hell but lost tough games all season. Hope they can ride the Homecoming wave and get the big win in Rhodes as I believe they do control their destiny for the playoffs. Go Phoenix.

UAlbany has some weapons: QB Poffenbarger has been named CAA Rookie of the Week five times. Besides his passing skills,he also has 190 yards rushing and two rushing TDs. RB Sibley has nine rushing TDs and averages 6.2 yards per carry (this average is helped by one 95-yard carry).
We need the Phoenix defense to do the job they're capable of doing, especially need DBs to shine.
If O-line repeats Delaware performance, our offense should do well.
Go, Phoenix!

Yeah, Albany absolutely has my respect. looking purely at non scoring stats, it's hard to understand why they are 2-6. Their worst FCS loss was by 1 touchdown to Monmouth. They lost to UNH by 5 and Villanova by 2. They have the number 1 passing offense and we have the number 6 passing defense. So I expect them to throw early and often. However, we have the number 6 passing offense and the number 5 rushing offense which matches with their #8 passing defense and their #11 rushing defense. So I expect our offensive game plane will be similar to last week against UD. If our defense shows up like they did last week, I think we win. This may be our highest scoring game of the season so far. With their passing attack, no lead will be safe. So we'll have to play a 60 minute game through the final whistle. Obviously Poffinbarger has not faced a defense at all this year. He may be good in the future, but he’s not remotely as good with a decent defense across the line of scrimmage. 10 sacks, lol.

Solid win for the Phoenix. Dominant in all phases of the game. Skyler Davis for Special Teams player of the year!
Go, Phoenix!

It's hard to imagine there's another defense in FCS that's playing better than Elon's in our last 2 games. I'm extremely impressed. It's been fun to watch.

Was a great time in Rhodes this weekend. Decent crowd, good food, and an outstanding performance. My takeaways:
1) Dovontae Edwards can coach a d**n defense. You lose some outstanding talent and these guys somehow got better. The defensive line was filthy yesterday and that was refreshing to see with some key contributors out.
2) As good as the defense was, too many times we got out of position and gave up big runs, mainly keeping containment. That is my only negative on defense this week.
3) Offensive line played a strong, clean game. If we can keep a consistent run game, then I like our chances against most teams. Also, great to have Parham back. He is going to be a big weapon down the stretch.
4) Trisciani is the CAA Coach of the Year. If New Hampshire wins the CAA, it will probably go to their coach considering they were picked behind us this year. However, I have really enjoyed watching him coach these guys up and how we have seen progression in these two weeks.
5) Skyler missed a kick and we were stunned, but his ability to drill one from 50+ is insane. Great to be confident in a kicker.
6) Can we possibly spread out Homecoming and Senior Day rather than putting them together?
7) Clean Home Slate, which is impressive. Won some big games in Rhodes and didn’t have the huge home crowd, but competed well in every game.
I’m excited for this team, but they cannot go to Hampton with a big head or play tight. As HU showed against William and Mary, if you give them an opportunity, they are capable to winning that game.
d**n proud of these young men!
