Quote of the day from the play by play guy: "It doesn't take a scientist to know that the ball moves faster by the pass than it does by the dribble". Elon just a little too slow and a little too inaccurate again vs Harvard. Some good things happened, but we are very deficient at PG. Pratt, Smart, Mackinnon all showed potential. Watson looked much better today. He is the de facto team leader. Once again we had flashes of solid play, so there's hope.

92-77 final. After being down 25 points, (49-74), with 12 minutes left in the 2nd, Elon finished the game down 15, (77-92). They never gave up, playing as well in the last 12 minutes as they did at any other point in the game. I'm not expecting miracles this season, I do expect 40 minutes of effort every game and improvement all season. So far the effort has been there.

Had considered making the trip for the weekend as I thought it would be a good opportunity to hit the some Asheville breweries and spend some time at the Cherokee casino for the weekend (love the slots), but certainly glad I did not make the drive from the Cary area after the performance.
Not sure what Coach Taylor was thinking at the point guard position. I understand bringing in the Sean Hal0ran given the familiarity, but he is, at his best, a backup point guard at this level. Coach should’ve signed another grad transfer guard or a transfer with some experience at the DIVISION 1 level.
The freshmen all seem to be decent. Smart is probably our best big man already as our junkyard DOG, Pratt has significant potential and should be playing 30 minutes a game. I think MM has some potential, but is definitely a project at this stage. Beyond that, unimpressed with the staff for coming into the season with this flawed of a roster.
I’ve got my tickets for the North Dakota game, and am hopeful that we have a well liquored student crowd that night to help this team get a win.
