The odds are obviously against us for this one. However, if we can keep the turnovers in single digits, play lock down defense and shoot like we did against Drexel, I think we at least have a chance. I think COC will come in underestimating us again. We have to have up tempo the entire game, (no slow downs), and BALL MOVEMENT the entire game! I think we have all seen what dribbling around looking for selfish shot can do. Also, If either JGB or Max get a hot hand, we need to feed it. They are the only two players we have that can put the team on their shoulders & run.

Hope for a decent crowd tonight. The key is controlling the boards and defending the perimeter. Sherry has to use his length and be solid in the paint tonight. Also, Ervin has to figure it out. If he can get going, the Phoenix can remain close.

In comes Bowen and there goes a close game. We have missed 4-5 layups.

Put Halloran on Charleston with his dribble show and the game would be close.

If Halloran is not going to play defense, send him to the locker room. At least he can’t dribble, dribble, dribble and then throw it away.

Ugly night, Torrance tried to keep them around. But zero paint presence, subpar perimeter defense, and the complete inability to rebound crushed us.

Everyone had some freshman minutes last night. To start with we didn't move the ball the way we had in the past few games. Halloran... nothing more to say there. I did feel that the team fought hard until the end and Watson looked like a pro in the 2nd, but our long scoring droughts took us out of the game. This doesn't make me feel that much better, but COC is an outstanding team. They wouldn't lose to UNC if they played now and I think their loss to Hofstra was a small fluke. They don't miss when it counts. They play awesome defense and they play super fast. Plus I think that when they're tested, several Elon players go back to old, bad habits. But there is a reason COC has only lost 2 games this season, They're d**ned good!

No shame losing to Charleston. It’s going to be really interesting if Hofstra wins the auto bid. Most scenarios have CoC not getting an at-large bid, which I don’t agree with. I feel a 3 loss Charleston team gets in…just a hunch. And that would be awesome for the CAA, which gets to be a two bid league. At least for a year.
