An absolute brutal quarterly report this morning by Under Armour (their stock is now about 6 bucks a share). My teenage son makes fun of Elon (and me!) for wearing UA, which he tells me is only worn by “people who have just given up”. Needless today, it is not a hot brand. I know some of you will laugh, but this stuff matters. Schools recently have broken contracts with UA to get out early. If these power 5 schools see the value of getting away from this brand, maybe we should too (I’m sure the stakes are much lower for us to say the least than say UCLA or Cal). Would love to see us in Nike. This post is really written for the 1% chance our AD actually reads this blog.

I think there's much more of a chance that Strawley reads this than there was Blank reading it. And if she's reading it, Jen, please delegate this to someone. I'd much rather you work toward making our sports programs better.
Nike? I'd rather see us in adidas, puma, hell I'd rather see us back in Russell over nike.

Russell..God no! We might as well wear Rockports. Sorry..kids love Nike. Just the way it is. I could live with Adidas, although they have made schools wear some butt-ugly stuff recently. (Example: NC State). Puma doesn’t support college athletics. Is our gear a major problem?? Of course not. But it is one more brick in an overall narrative.
