The scheme we are running is stuck in 2009. The spread is no longer a novelty. Our plays lack imagination and are as slow developing as anything I've ever seen. We also have zero tempo and I have yet to see us attack the perimeter at all in the run game. We run the same play over and over. Here we are in year three and our offense is horrible. A change has to be made and we need to hire an imaginative OC to call plays. Rich seems to be a CEO type. Be the CEO and realize you can't be the HC AND OC. You are not Bobby Petrino. We are so far from a 2009 offense. We might as well be running a power I Now this O is deplorable

Good News - We have allowed fewer sacks than any team other than JMU Bad News - We're next to last in Total Offense, 7th in Passing Offense and next to last in Rushing Offense.

Good News - We have allowed fewer sacks than any team other than JMU Bad News - We're next to last in Total Offense, 7th in Passing Offense and next to last in Rushing Offense. The O line has improved dramatically. They are giving us a running game and giving DT time in the pocket. If only that time translated to completions, yards, first downs and points. Our running game is typically abandoned in the second half...

Running game? We're grasping at things. We rank 103 of 122 teams. 103rd in Passing Offense. I reviewed our stats.
Year to Date Rushing Attempts - 242 Passing Attempts - 251
We are balanced. Equally bad.
Total Offense Rank in FCS - 114th.
It's more than just the QB. It's the scheme.
End of story.

People kept hyping Wrobo and his o line/running game. Are you watching the same game I am? The running game isn't there. Only against WM did we run the ball well.we are getting hit before we even get to the line of scrimmage.

Running out of the shotgun. Having the back stand there for 1.5 seconds before handing him the ball. Giving the defense 1.5 seconds to swarm to him.
Still, it's the best running game we've had in a few years.
We average 114 yds per game rushing and 155 yards passing. The run game is clearly the strength (?) of the offense.

If Nova had our OL they would be undefeated. Our OL is set up for passing, but we don't have a passer. We have a pass first style offense, but our present talent leans toward running. We could be better, but our offensive scheme prevents it. I know I sound like a broken record, but you have to play to your talents. We're trying to force a square peg into a round hole.

I think there needs to be some staff changes. I know you don't want to have scapegoats and that's kind of what this sounds like but you can't keep the same staff again and expect it to just change. I think if you do keep the same staff though then RS needs to take some more opinions/thoughts from his staff in terms of play calling and scheme. An OC would be a start but is RS really going to give up play calling? I think as its been said matching a scheme to what you have is probably the quickest thing that can be done but still that will take some time.

Can't see how RS survives. Record at Elon, total HC record, production and the recent arrests (shooting President Lambert's house w/ paintballs)? Unfortunate but these are facts.

He will get AT LEAST one more year. I would be shocked if he is let go. I think he should get another year. However, I do think a scheme change is warranted.

OK, I am over it. It is still the first quarter and we are not even in the game. I have been a season ticket holder for all the years of Rhoades Stadium and a generous donor to the school every year since I graduated. I will not attend another game until we have a legitimate offensive coordinator and a legitimate defensive coordinator. It is a shame for the kids on the team that they have no more leadership than they do. I said 4 weeks ago that we would not win another game...I stand by that.
