Why would you keep the OC of a team that has no offense? i thought we have been saying this all along in other threads... OC was just a title, he didn't call any of the plays that was all RS, someone else said it, we needed a true OC. Wrobo is actually a good line coach who did a lot with a young group this year if you ask me, DT had all day in the backfield. Also Reisert stays because of recruiting, true, but also continuity with the players. If you have been around the program you can tell the players looks up to him/respect him; also thought the TEs were a solid group the last few years... were underutilized, big John Luke Arrington is back. keeping a few coaches from the old staff is not a bad thing. excited to see who else is joining the new staff looks CC has already made some solid hires. Just so We are on the same page and agree on this point Our Offense was miserable. It truly sucked in every area. We could not score in a brothel. Stats do not lie. What did We rank? Only way to go is up.

I thought our pass blocking was very good. I felt that Cole Taylor, Jeramiah Bridges and Josh Ramseur were pretty good route runners with average hands. They dropped balls at the most inopportune times, but I think we've got something to work with there. Our running backs are average, but could be better with better run blocking. QB is the huge challenge. So I will go so far as to say the results of our offense were absolutely miserable, But I do think we have something to work with. We will absolutely need a better QB however. The same QB will likely give us the same results next year.

He gets to blame last year on coaching, play calling and scheme. (And he may be right.) He gets a fresh start. No QB coach has been named yet. I think Cignetti needs a QB that can run and throw. Our only shot for 2017, I think, is CC -- IF he's fully recovered from surgery. Otherwise, we may be seeing a true freshman.

I think nellie's point, which is valid, is that we essentially have three identical threads going on simultaneously. AGREE... lock the others up maybe it is a metaphor for our need to change the culture of Elon and become a bit more focused. Let's keep the Main thing the Main thing! Watching this process from afar and just picking up bits and pieces really makes one appreciate the formation of a winning coaching staff. The focus has to be on winning or building a culture of winning. We have to develop the best student/athletes We can. FTE

Bryant Haines is our new LB coach.
Comes from UC Davis. Coached with Cignetti at IUP for a few years.
Played at Ball St. and was a GA at Indiana and Ohio State.

Looks like he's assembling things pretty quickly.
I think we'll see a difference from the outset.

I'd like to see an interview with him. Similar to what they did with Skrosky when he came on board.
