The men and women are both 2-8 in their last 10. Time for some changes. Just plain bad.
Go Phoenix!

Well, neither are making a strong case for each other.
For the men, it doesn't get any easier. The way the tide is turning at Elon, I think Nestor just buried himself after this loss.

ota, I suspect you're right. It just amazes me how a team can play the way we did against GSU and Davidson and then pull this $h!+ against the likes of WCU. I still contend that our talent isn't as stinko as our past several games.
Sorry, in GSU I meant Georgia State U.

If think that maybe you guys are not giving Western enough credit. The team took a tremendous loss when Aldridge quit, but has made some adjustments and has steadily improved since his departure. The first Elon game was the day after Aldridge quit and it was at your place and you only won by 10. Also, Western has averaged scoring about 20+ points more at home than on road games this season.

I give all the credit to Western. They were the better team and deserved to win. Elon was outplayed and outcoached. With that said, with the games these guys have had against Ga. State, VT and Davidson there is no reason why Elon shouldn't be able to win this game on the road. The program is mired in mediocrity.
Congrats on the win and good luck.
Go Phoenix!

Dude, All due respect and I appreciate your sticking up for your team but before tonight you were 1-6 in the conference. I'm not trying to dis WCU but with the loss of Aldridge, Elon should have won this game. Being beaten by 12 points is just too confusing to imagine.

CULLOWHEE - Michael Porrini, Western Carolina's second-leading scorer, and teammate Camden Miller are not at the Ramsey Center tonight for the Catamounts' basketball game against Elon. www.citizen-times.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080124/SPORTS/80124139/1119

Hey I'm with euphoenix99. I think that the time for some changes has come whether they be coaching changes(men's & women's) or recruiting changes. This is just insane! No offense to the WCU fans but they are the worst team in the SoCon statistically. I'm only a freshman but I've had enough of this madness! Am I wrong for just wanting a team that can compete in the SoCon?

It's simple.....time for a new coach. He's had more than ample time to try and build a program. The only thing Nestor has accomplished, is winning the North with another coach's recruits. I like Nestor as a person, but he's not the man for the job. If Elon can get a Lembo for football, then certainly, the can get a similar coach for b-ball!
