Vad Lee JMU QB has had his way since He and his crew have run it up since He was at GaTech & last year.
In games like this one can only hope We can reverse our latest trend of letting the game get out of hand early.
I guess We will track this throughout the week. Injuries?

JMU may hang 60 on them, but Elon has to be able to move the ball against their D. That's their weakness (at least relative to their offense) and have to keep Lee off the field. JMU has given up an average of 26 pts a game in their first 3 CAA games (UAlbany, SB, Towson)
In my opinion, I feel like DT has shown much better accuracy throwing the ball down field and has more potential to put together sustained drives. Still not sold on DT or CC honestly, but I'm more optimistic about them moving the ball with DT out there.
Should be a good crowd and don't want to send the Elon home side to the exits at half.
Go Phoenix!

It ain't gonna be pretty. It was ugly last year. They have improved. However, I am not sure we have improved enough to make a difference. Just trying to be realistic.
We have to show up and start fast to have any chance to make it a game.

Yes, this will not be pretty. Vad is the same QB that lead GT to a 70-0 win over Elon in '13.
Can't afford the start of the last 2 games.

Perhaps it's time to try our third QB - neither CC nor DT have done much with our offense.

Looks like DT will be the permanent starter, Skrosky just made it pretty clear on the coaches teleconference...saying that hes started "and will continue to start" and also was raving about how much time he spends breaking down film...

I could care less about film study. All I care about is not throwing INTs.

This game worries me. This may be the best team we've faced since the 2006 App State team. They torched nearly everyone on the schedule that year, much like what JMU is doing this year.
The bad part is that our team (so far) this year lacks the offensive firepower of the '06 with the likes of Wes Pope, Terrell Hudgins, Michael Mayers, etc. If the offense doesn't open up early in the game, it has a chance to get ugly quickly.
I hate talking like that as I love supporting my team, but JMU is rock solid....averaging 614 yards of offense and nearly 50 points game. Those are just insane numbers.

How is their defense? That's the question. If they have an average or better d we are in trouble.

How is their defense? That's the question. If they have an average or better d we are in trouble. Not too bad, giving up about 355 yards of offense and 24 points per game. They took out SMU (FBS team) 48-45 just a couple weeks ago. Not too many teams are going to be able to beat them in a shoot out. We probably need to abandon the run in this game and totally air out. Lehigh, Stony Brook & Towson look like they may have had something going in the air. JMU is pretty stingy giving up yards on the ground.

Get in a shoot out and we will lose by 50. I swear there are people the coaching staff on this board or players parents.
We need a fricking running game. grind down the clock, rest the defense and control time of possession. Has football changed that much??
Quit worrying about which qb will start or if the receiver drop the passes. A number of the incompletes are not catchable balls.
RUN THE BALL EFFECTIVELY!!! That is how you WIN,,,
Btw, the 3 more win prediction is laughable. Obvioulsy that indiviual is not watching this team play. We beat a crappy, very crappy gardner webb team and a towson team whose coaches should have been locked up after the game. Also, A&T sucked as well. This team is not in a postion to compete. You all need to wake up and get a reality check

That "very crappy" gardner webb team just knocked off #15 Liberty 34-20 this past weekend. NC A&T is 4-1 and was the preseason favorite to win their conference...also won 9 games last year
Elon will win more games this year...3 is optimistic, but certainly not laughable.
