Anyone seeing ANY credible reports of names surfacing in the search?

Patrick Beilein (my personal pick) allegedly interviewed according to a few tweets. He is in high-demand though with Niagra, Siena, and potentially a few more schools looking at him.

I can confirm that Pat Belien does have a legitimate serious interest in the job. Has had opportunities to leave Le Moyne in the past (Fairfield, Siena). Interesting to see where this goes. I believe it would be a splash hire for the athletic department if it were to happen.

I like Shaver and Elon could certainly do worse, but I think he's too much like Matheny. This is a good chance to sort of reinvent the program and Shaver feels like more of the same.
I really like the idea of Beilein. Would be an exciting young coach with some name recognition. With any success he'd likely be a short stay, but a few successful years could make the program more sought after by coaches.
Go Phoenix!

Shaver would be a solid hire. Anyone who doesn't recognize that doesn't realize how tough the W&M job is.
I recognize there are potential coaches out there who would be more exciting, but I would gladly have him over the two other coaches mentioned in that ENN article.

Shaver just got fired for not winning enough... If we wanted to have a B- coach then we should have just kept Matt.
That is not what this program needs right now. Plus he is too old

I personally like Joe Lombardi from India PA or Ben McCollum from Northwest Missouri.
I want Elon to hire a winner that knows what it takes

Plus he is too old I’m sorry, did you say B-? You must have meant a D-, I will give the benefit of the doubt it was a typo. Remind you, we have 6 scholarship players and 2 recruits. Terrible at his job plain and simple. Don’t know how anyone could see it any other way. Shaver is 10x the coach that matheny was or ever could be, but will agree that he’s not the guy. It doesn’t send a good message to the conference that another school went out of their way to rid themself of, we see as the answer and savior.

Not saying I’m in favor of the idea, but didn’t Shaver have something like four 19+ win seasons over the last 5-6 years with a few 20 wins seasons in there? The downside is that W&M, like us, has never made the tourney. Being in VA, I will tell you folks around here were super surprised with Shaver’s firing....sports media in the area spoke of him overachieving with pretty limited resources. Both schools need to open the pocketbook to hire stellar head coaches and pay assistants more.

Amazing at the amount of talk going on around about App State via Jeff Goodman naming top four in the search or winston salem journal articles on the search.
Other than a article mentioning Rick Pitino (LMAO).....nothing from the Elon search.
Could be a good or bad thing....
Good...no leaks.
Bad....lack of interest for quality candidates.
App. State isnt as good job as Elon IMO....since Elon has new gym.
They have zero fan support for bball.
Radford coach, Campbell coach, gardner webb coach and Bobby Lutz named as top 4 per Jeff Goodman.
Speculation they will have coach by tomorrow or Thursday.
All 4 seem solid to great hires.
Hope the media members will do some actual work and dig around to find out what names are circulating for the Elon job.
Media coverage is one thing holding this job back. Heck...they could of wrote hot seats about MM but not even that.
Write a game summary...eat pizza, call it a day. Good gig!

They went from basement dweller to finishing consistently in the top four in the conference, including a regular season title. The people balking at Shaver would realistically be pretty happy with the results if they were similar to what he did at W&M. Yeah, he didn't make the NCAA tournament, but his teams were competitive in the conference.

Today on Hoop Dirt
"Speaking Jones (Radford's Mike Jones), heard he’s also involved at Elon. I’ve also heard Ohio State assistant Mike Schrage mentioned here."

From Jeff Goodman:
After spurning the Elon job, Radford’s Mike Jones has signed an extension through 2024-25, source told @stadium.
