Their prediction: Furman 31, Phoenix 23. Phoenix and Paladins appear to match up well in all phases. I'm confident in our defense and in our overall talent on both sides of the ball. I'm concerned about play-calling on offense and about Furman's home field advantage. I think the score will be closer than Greenville News's prediction.

In 2017 we lost to Furman at home 28-27 in the 1st round. I think we return the favor and kick a late field goal to win 30-28.

Frustrating game. Stupid fake field goal decision, fumble to ruin promising drive, perplexing choice to kick field goal to make it a 9 point game, and running into the punter for no reason. Dumb, dumb, dumb and dumber.

Yup, really frustrating to watch. Seems that injuries on defense caught up with them a little bit today. Really surprisingly poor performance by the OL today with how good they’ve been.

I’m disappointed in the loss, but I’m pissed with the performance off of a bye week, especially offensively.

The offensive line has been getting bullied in a lot of CAA play, whether Richmond, Delaware, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Towson, etc., they have been getting outphysicaled and it showed itself today. We have made big plays but our O-Line was a weakness at times.

Big thank you to the Seniors and the Staff for getting back to the playoffs but focus needs to be on advancing and not just getting there. We lose 4 seniors on offense and 4 on defense and an all-everything kicker. Not sure what the future holds, but it will be interesting to find out.

Totally out coached and we were not prepared for their Qb. Running into the kicker may have cost an opportunity to win along with that bonehead fake field goal play or non play. I just think that this match up showed that maybe the CAA is overrated and the SoCon is under appreciated. We should probably be in the Pioneer or Patriot. Not even talking about basketball!

I am also going to throw out there that as a very recent former player, this will be the teams ceiling as long as Blank is the AD. He is perfectly content with mediocrity, and will not lead this program where it needs to go; he is much more concerned with other sports (namely basketball), and is not well respected or liked by the vast majority of student athletes. How you have a team that is undefeated at home, and do not make a competitive bid to host a playoff game, is beyond me.
